You need to drop the transmission to do the job. Pull the clutch and flywheel, then you can easily replace the seal. Just did this on a friends truck in around 6 hours.
I know the pinprobably isn't in the exact location, but that is private land. Need to go SW towards the white area to be on BLM land unless we have the land owners permission.
Are there hills or something for a shooting backdrop?
Looks like a large area, so no worries about having enough space.
We probably need to set in stone where we are going before everyone is willing to chime in and say they are indeed going.
That said, I'm pretty sure I will be going (M109) as well as the Bad Karma group (M35 + trucks and trailer) which adds another 5-10 people or so.
DUG would be very happy with that idea.
Here's the first location up Mule Canyon Rd. This is heavilly used by campers and RV's most weekends.

If you go...
Better to go further back on Mule Canyon Rd. That area is still visable from Calico Rd and even the Hwy, better to be out of sight with all the big bad green iron and of course other toys.
Looks like our airsoft event has been postponed, so the Bad Karma crew just might make this afterall. There are some great spots to camp/shoot/ride in and around the Calico Mts. off of Mule Canyon Rd which is a pretty accessable dirt road off of Calico Rd. There are some large areas to camp in...
Sadly I can't make this as we have an airsoft event to attend that weekend. We will be making a run out to the Calico Mts probably in late Oct, early Nov. where shooting is allowed (the entire Stoddard area all the way to Barstow is shotgun only now).
I'll post something once we have some...
One of these days I will do this show, but fuel and lodging really add up for a show like this. If they would let me sleep in the rig on site I could afford it.
Definately need a flexible gap seperating the cab and the box. Just turning a corner would rip the fiberglass apart. A 3" accordian rubber band would work great and allow enough flex for just about anything.
She is doing good, hasn't had much pain after the surgery and is about 90% according to her. Things going well in the armpit of the sun, getting my business going while caring for my sweetheart...now if it will just cool down, all will be perfect!
I'm all for the HMMWV's getting used by civil service rather than be destroyed, it keeps them around longer and if the demil code ever changes they will still be here for us to have a shot at them.
Now when the local PD starts getting AH-64's and A-10's, then I will start to get worried!
This sounds like so much fun, and sadly I can't go. Well I could go, but I supposed to be taking care of the wife who will have just had surgery, so I think she''d be pissed if I took off to play in the truck.
Might be a good idea to just rent the lookout for the night, then you are sure to...
Can you disconnect the terminals between the batteries? Only need to break the 24V system and then charge each 12V battery seperately. Just can't put the 12V charger on if the batteries are still connected together forming a 24V circuit.
