    12 volt to trailer wiring

Everything except the metal enclosure is from ebay haha. The case I got from mouser or digikey I think.

    12 volt to trailer wiring

Basically military connector on one side, civilian on the other. Cable used is 1/2" 7 conductor trailer cable. I'd show the inside of the aluminum box but its just a jumble of wires that I don't think would really help anyone so I made a picture. In the name of transparency I have not tried...

    12 volt to trailer wiring

Funny, I just made one of these over the weekend. I have both a military and civilian trailer that I want to use with my m998 so I made a converter from 24v to 12v. Basically I bought a cheap 24v to 12v converter and pull power off the E pin in the receptacle on the truck. B and J pins are for...

Maryland State Inspection- HMMWV registered as an AM General Pickup

Seems like he was trying to get you with anything he could, which wasn't much. The first violation doesn't even seem to apply since you had the tags on the truck they were registered for, not sure how he got that one.

Anyone running 42" tires on 17" aftermarket wheels ? If so I need your help...

Looks good. How far do they stick out from the fenders?

    Tire upgrade suggestions ?

From what I read online a 2" lift should be sufficient to run 40's without rubbing.

    Tire upgrade suggestions ?

You can always do a couple inch body lift solve the rubbing issue.

Running 12v accessories in my m998? What’s the best way??

I got a cheap little 24v-12v converter off ebay that I use to charge my phone in the hmmwv, works fine for little things and you dont have to worry about batteries.

    Tire changing tools

I keep a swiveling breaker bar in my truck just for this reason, they come off pretty easily after broken loose.

Will a Military Mule M274 fit in the bed of a HMMWV between the fenders?

Dont think so, the mule is 118 inches long and the bed of the HMMWV is only 84 inches to the B pillar

    10k half shaft disassembly

When I took mine apart the rotor side was super easy. The retaining ring was just a split ring that popped out with a flat head screw driver and the CV balls just slid out of the housing. Are you sure those are 10k and not 7.5k half shafts? I think the rotor side of mine looked a little...

Are 16.5” rubbers really that bad?

I'm pretty sure that was a joke guys........ They look good but are those the non-DOT Baja T/A KR2's? I don't think those are able to be legally used on the highway.

Are 16.5” rubbers really that bad?

Looks like the wheels off a GMC sierra https://www.nationstrucks.com/used/GMC/2016-GMC-Sierra+2500-Sanford-Orlando-d91c3f0c0a0e0a17597ca3b68037fbe8.htm

Are 16.5” rubbers really that bad?

Hummer h2 wheels, 17x8.5 and have a close offset to what the stock wheels are. Sometimes you can find them for really cheap on craigslist or ebay.

New tires and one piece aluminum wheel pictures

The GVWR of the hummer h2 is greater than the GVWR of a regular m998 so I don't think its too much of a problem as long as you don't plan on running tons of armor.

New tires and one piece aluminum wheel pictures

Sweet, I actually just modified the centers of some same style h2 wheels last night to run on my truck. Can't tell what tire size you have on there but I'm planning on running 40's with my 2" body lift. Can you post larger pictures because those are super tiny.

    DatGuyC's hmmwv project thread

Only problem I can see is that if you ever have to remove the damper then you would have to move the engine back some to get it off. Is it too tight to put a new serpentine belt on?

Help Trying to find Intake Snorkel Part

Are you talking about the rubber coupler? They can be bought at any plumbing supply store like lowes or home depot.
