Haha I'm still driving mine around with the stock setup. Its good to see the ac compressor fits between the frame rails, I was a little worried about that.
I bought a generic spindle nut socket, I think it was for Ford, and just had to grind off one of the nubs for it to work. It isn't as "secure" as the proper tool but for the 4 times I had to use it, it worked.
Mines not converted yet, I just have most of the parts and am waiting till things settle down at home to start on it.
What type of motor mounts are you using? I cant remember if you did a body lift or not.
I have my transfer case all put together so I should be good on parts. If you wanted to meet up one weekend I wouldn't mind swapping some hmmwv stories.
If its a 9375-00117 then its the first generation switch known for burning up trucks, the 2nd(3rd) generation is 9375-00311.

How did you get the tire to seat so you could put air in it? I tried to do the same thing but either bead was about an inch from the rim and I couldn't set it to seal enough to hold air, even with a ratchet strap around the diameter of the tire trying to balloon it out.
I'm planning on running some hummer h2 wheels with 37x12.5r17 tires when I pick up a set. They are cheap and the offset is only off about an inch out. The center holes have to be made larger but thats not hard to do.
I think it really depends on the model year Hummer H1 you are comparing to. For the early years 1992-1993 they were pretty similar to HMMWV's. No airbags, 3 speed transmission, 6.2 motor.
Its a tapered shaft, not sure how complex it would be to machine.
Shouldn't a gear off any p7100 work, be it either from a 6bt or 4bt? Looks like there are some off of 12 valves on ebay.
If you have a 60 amp alternator you can just get the voltage regulator, they screw onto the back. You just have to make sure you know exactly which alternator you have so you get the right one.
That's because they don't have the reserve capacity that good old lead acid batteries do. New vehicles have so many electronics in them nowadays that use power even when the vehicle is off that it just drains the dry cells to nothing.
As far as I know all 47rh/47re/48re are in the a618 family. If you only have a 2 pin plug you might have a 46rh since a 47rh has a 3 pin plug. Sounds like you still have the stock transmission?
"1991.5-1993:A518 (aka 46RH) 4-speed. Overdrive, no lockup."...
