That would be a good idea to put a battery charger and a block heater powered off the same cord. In the winter the batteries would be charged and the engine warmed.
I towed one with a deuce and with the brake working. It was an ok trip. I have moved my trailer around the house with a blazer. (slow speeds just to move it out of the way) and it was quite a bit to handle... I don't think I would want to go anywhere near highway speeds with it.
are you talking about the diodes on the Voltage regulator board? They can get corroded and the potting material is difficult to remove. The best thing I have found is to use a heat gun to get it soft and scrap it off. then soldier in new diodes.
