Jeepsinker- what sheen does Diamondkote come in? Flat, semi, etc. Can you spray it with an HVLP sprayer? Sounds like good stuff- I may try some when I repaint my cargo bed.
I repainted my deuce with Rapco semi- gloss- it is durable but faded badly after only 3 months. It is solvent based (Xylene) not oil.
I have read many posts regarding Behr house paint- after it fully cures it is nearly impossible to remove and is water based.
Did you read TM 9-2320-361-20? Section 11-5, page 11-7 has complete instructions and diagrams of the door and window assembly. That's how I figured out how to get mine out. Hope this helps!

Just out of curiosity, what would another tank cost, assuming the rust wasn't as bad?
Check out www.eastwood.com. They sell a fuel tank sealer kit and various chemicals to clean the tank and prevent flash rust until you can coat it.
The ad for the sealer kit also has instructions you can download which explains the entire process and chemicals needed.
