I have the original air-o-matic instructions. They are on large sheets- too large to copy. PM me a mailing address and I will just mail them to you along with my install notes.

Try talking with Mona Roth at New Life Canvas. I bought my canvas cargo cover from her and she is very helpful. As they make all of their canvas products, she may be able to help.

Let us know if you find a solution- many others have faced the same problem...
I put it on my deuce and it is well worth it. It makes a huge difference- I wouldn't be without it. Full hydro is best but expensive.
Treva2 says he is selling one for $1200 which is a good price.
Treva, is that NOS or a take off?
Albert- that is absolutely fabulous! We've talked about this several times but I had no idea how much work you put into this. The paint job looks better than factory- not bad for somebody who hates to paint! :-)
I can't wait to see it in person- are you going to put the canvas cargo cover on...
The antifreeze must be specifically formulated for Diesel engines. Don't use antifreeze made for gasoline cars and trucks- it doesn't contain the additives necessary for Diesel engines. I bought mine at NAPA but don't remember the name.

Welcome, Doc. There are 3 MV clubs in the valley that can help you with your new truck:
www.desertwarriorsofarizona.com (west valley) Desert Warriors
www.armytrucks.org (Phoenix metro) Arizona Military Vehicle Collectors Club
www.AHMTA.com (east valley) Arizona Historic Military...
Lots of guys have tried different things but I don't think anybody has come up with a good solution yet. I'm thinking about finding a gooseneck lamp to mount on the dash and shine on front of the gauges.
SS member M-35 Tom sells a full hydro power steering conversion kit which allows you to move the steering column up higher for more legroom. Here's the link:

Welcome from Arizona! Be sure to do some research so you know what you're getting into.
I love my deuce but it does require regular maintenance.
Good luck
Several members here use a deuce for a daily driver but here are some things to think about:
The turning radius is huge- parking in a parking lot is difficult. When I take mine out there are some places I can't go because of parking limitations.
Adding power steering will be an enormous...
The measurements are in ohms. I replaced all my gauges and sending units about a year ago, and don't remember how to test them- but- if you call or email Erik at www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com, he will walk you through it. Simple procedure but I can't remember it.
I noticed my 60 psi oil gauge...
DB- I'm with you, I just like the old school rotating beacons. Must be an "age" thing (for me).
Ducer- I think your right about parts availability. "dcaptain would be a good place to start for used parts.
