I too down loaded a sound meter for my phone. On cold high idle was 72db off high idle was 69db running 65 mph was 78 to 79db. Neat app for the phone.

What year did GM stop using the Govlock and would those axles work under my M1009?

The black item behind the filter is the resistor bank. The resistor bank steps the power down from 24 to 12 volts. It could have some of the leafs and other crap sitting on your upper fire wall. Try taking the cover off and blow all the crap out.

I did not buy mine for a daily driver but find myself driving it every day. The last tank was about 18 mpg just running back and forth to work. Seem like the more I drive it the better it runs.
