Got the winch mounted today. Now all I need to do is plumb and wire it up. Does anybody happen to know the fitting size off the top of their head of the lines on the winch? I still need to dress up the hole I cut into the headboard and some other cosmetic issues but everything is mounted.

Well with work and other things getting in the way, this has been a slow project. Got the center support rollers finished. I finally pretty much have the tail roller finished. I just have to clean up the rough edges and throw on some paint. Now on the the winch.

At the end of the day, they are your tailgates and you can do with them whatever you wish. I don't speak for all the other posters but I think it's safe to say nobody hates you for doing this. Some just hate to see rare MV parts get turned into furniture and that's just their opinion.
