Just remember that "J" pipe only works with the long air pack. If you have short pack you have a "L" pipe that is only threaded on one end with an o-ring slip fit on the other. That requires a fitting (1/2 Inverted male thread to 3/8 male pipe thread) to put a quick connect air hose into the...
Tim, check out this page. It should answer all you questions. http://www.xm381.com/xm381/How_To/How_To.html
Post up some pics of yours so we have an idea of what your talking about.
I did not hook brakes up for the 8 mile pull of the bobber with a regular deuce. This gives you and idea of towbar placement and safety chain attachment. The steering wheel was tied however.
You got that right. I pulled an M35 out of Jacksonville and the wheels weren't tied quite straight and I could only get up to about 45mph. I stopped and fixed that real quick!
You also should tie the brakes together on a deuce to deuce hook up if you are doing a long tow. It is not hard to do...
I vote normal Tim. You could have them machined to make the axle set flat but I don't think anyone else has. Mine was done this way. Ignore the flat looking springs, it was heavily loaded at the time.
DH come down for the rally and stay for the show at Belleview. You can also stop by and see Mike (Devilman96) about the same time. Kenny too! And his boys!
109 miles for me and a 2.5 hour ride. If I get the truck up and going I will try to make it. It sounds like fun. I see from the satellite photo you plenty of green in the yard!
I heard Emmett that those V brackets were where lights could be installed. I guess that's why there are ladder hooks below them. Get the David Doyle book about military trucks. It has lots of answers in it.
His thread for 2012 has been closed and the 2013 thread has not been opened yet. He stated at the end of the 2012 thread that it may be awhile before the 2013 thread is started. Please DO NOT pm him (his words) because he will not respond to it.
Do you know these trucks have frame numbers...
The data plate on the dash above the glove box is what you need to look at. Carnac is the guy that could tell you all about your truck.
Unfortunately his 2013 Vin Info thread may be delayed in being started. Like this...
Are you viewing "today's posts"? I just went back from this thread, which was half way down the screen, and I went back to the same place after a half a second at the top. What browser are you using? I'm running Chrome.
We need pics. M109 is a box attached to the frame of the truck. A M35 is a cargo bed that is attached to the frame of the truck, it can have a communication shelter slid into it. S250 shelters are common.
If it is a shelter, slide it into a M105 trailer. They make great campers!
You realize there are 3 tread types in the 11.00's. You left out the Firestone tires. My Michelin tires ride much smoother than the NDTs. I like duals on the rear also.
