That is the vent line from the MC and the air pack. The MC line may have been disconnected under the truck but the airpack should still be hooked to it. I have seen some with the fitting and without.
Glad to hear from you. You have missed the best of SSGR since you were there in 09. I see your in Tennessee now, can't wait to hear about the last 3 years or so. Your truck lives on, well parts of it anyway. I have the front bumper and winch mounts on my bobber!
I will listen for you Bill. I know what you look like too! You can't drag Lloyd along can you?
Tokarev, that Mk48 would be a hit! Take out a bank loan and drive it over!
One of my trucks has had the hubs swapped side to side so the studs and nuts are reversed. Good thing I saw the "L" on the right side (on should I say the wrong side) before I put the 3/4" drive Snap-On air impact to em'. It may not have ended well. They can and have been mismatched during...
I'll be there. I may ride up with Steve6x6x6. We need a way to identify each other. I will wear a Steel Soldiers Rally shirt. If you are a vendor hang out a sign with your screen name so we can find you.
Oh yeah, Welcome to the site! Come to the Richloam rally and meet the rest of Central Florida MV nuts. It is held here. http://www.canoegatorstyle.com/
Here is the thread about it...http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?99415-**2013-Florida-Military-Vehicle-Rally**
Show up with or without...
Double the kw number and that is the HP needed. You could run it with less but 24hp for 12 kw. Also be mindful of the generator rpm. Some engines make less HP @ 1800rpm if that is what the generator is.
I guess if would have completely removed the spindles before the axle I would have found my vibration problem. Spindle bushing was gone! Oh well the axle is out and so is the chunk so it is a complete rebuild at this point!
Hey Steve6x6x6! I need some parts!
Wife, bring me a beer!

This site has good info on the frame number. You have a AM General built in 1973...
It was just me and my brother. It was a high lift jack. In a M109 you cannot see solider b holding up the tow bar. We did not have a solider c so we supported the tow bar at the right height and my brother could stand in my view and give guidance to hook up.
