That's the electrical control box. It pretty much controls all the electrical.
I've had one apart but ended up just getting a good used one to replace it with. I've still got it laying on the shelf and may tinker with it sometime.
Mine was just like yours but I've seen others that also had a...
Is that a M149? The reason I ask is because I have a M149 and it has a stainless tank (the one it the pic is fiberglass).
As for value, I really have no idea. I've tried to sell mine for $1,000 with no luck all the while the local GL was selling ones in worse condition for $1,500. I wouldn't...
I routinely haul 20 ton (40,000lb) on my M939 lime truck over some pretty rough ground. Only difference is the truck started life as a wrecker (M936) and has the double frame and heaver springs.
I'd guess a weak relief valve. Seems to me that maybe after the oil warms it gets thinner and doesn't put as much strain on the weak relief, that would explain why it goes longer after warm up.
This is just a guess but that would be the first place I'd look.
This is a state specific issue.
If somebody has advice and either lives in NV or knows the NV vehicle titling laws, feel free to help the OP out.
Please don't post unless the info is NV specific.
About the only thing I can tell you is to consult a lawyer if you wish to proceed further. I think maybe if you hadn't waited so long you might have had a better chance with GL but they could be right in their legal standing because so much time has passed.
Just keep in mind that if you file...
I've heard people having great success filing a claim and I've heard plenty of others where GL told them to go pound sand. At worst, you should get a good portion of your money back (I think the default fee is 20%).
I guess you won't know until you try.
Sorry to hear about your Dad but it...
The steering boxes are kind of the weak point in the system so I suspect you may have a problem there. I'd get it fixed ASAP as a failure isn't something you'd want while going down the hwy.
I just left my spark plug and fuel nozzle in the hole when I did away with mine.
I may pull them out and plug the hole if y'all can figure out what it takes.
The military items you see listed right now aren't part of the government contract, they are civilian owned.
Personally, I won't be real happy if they offer the Iron Clad Assurance on MVs. While it does lower the risk, it also lowers the gain. If they start the Iron Clad Assurance it will raise...
Here's another bit of info on the contract bidding process.
Apparently, GL pays the government 3.85% of the original purchase price of items and pockets any money over and above that.

If I'm reading this right, Iron Planet will give the government 75.29% of the sale price of items and pocket the rest.

These injector pumps have a habit of the fuel plungers and inside the pump sticking if they sit for a long period of time, could use just a good cleaning.
Another thing to check is to pull the timing cover off the pump and see if good clean fuel runs out. If little pieces of rubber come out in...
It's my understanding that Iron Planet is actually the one that issues the guarantee (and payout) and not the actual owner of the equipment.
What they do when you list a item and want the guarantee is they will send a inspector out and he will write up an inspection report. They aren't...
The way IP bidding works is really different from the way most on-line auctions sites do it (including GL).
The bidding is only actually open for 5 minutes (not counting bid time extensions). You can place a proxy bid days before auction but you're bid won't be placed before auction time.
This...
That's not necessarily the case. The number you speak of is the contract date. While the truck cannot be older than the contract date, the contract usually spans several years.
My 1972 truck has a 1970 contract date.
Panzerwillie, Looks like you've got a good wrecker there.
Your post are really hard to read with your run-on sentences though. We would ask that you at least try and use proper grammar so people can actually read what you're trying to say.
