Although I have a civi one, it is old and very near to the HMMWV, except for that mine has CTIS, heavier suspension (like the heavy HMMWV) and the upgraded hubs. Once you master brake-throttle modulation (and carry a chainsaw) they are nearly unstoppable off road.

You weren't lucky, he was incorrect that a turbo install will add smoke. Additional air in a Diesel will make LESS smoke, not more. More fuel = more smoke.
Yup and at about 4000 lbs. you'd better have some really heavy front suspension.

Sure did, I'd have to spend the $200 to send it back and they would "see" what was wrong with it. Then I'd have to pay whatever they thought would be fair, then another $200 to send it back to me. I gave the truck away and cut my losses.
