They are awesome! I put 4 in my M42A1 Duster that the new owner provided for it, it cranks that 900 CID engine effortlessly, even without charging after storage. I want to fill my HEMTT battery box with 4 of them . . .
You know, they have these little tapered grease needles you could stick in the hole and add a little from time to time. I was thinking that cleaning the area with brake cleaner solaked rag, and after it's dry a dab of silicone would allow you to pick it out when desired but still keep the crud out.
I'm glad I wasn't drinking coffee while reading that last paragraph.
WOW, floor in next week and a week or two to cure, and your 3 rigs will be inside from then on . . . VERY nice! :jumpin:
I'm sure the market in Europe for common American Iron isn't that great. WWII stuff yes, but with their fuel prices not as many people are willing to feed a 7 liter Diesel. I just checked, February Diesel prices in the Netherlands were equivalent to $5.90/US gallon, gasoline was only $7.75...
It is just a matter of time before the Yard Police visit me, I'm suing a neighbor for severly limiting my access to my home(70 year old recorded easement, constantly in use since then). His attorney has sent some not so veiled threats about code compliance, but my MV's live inside the garage...
Elk, you won't regret either event. The guys that go to the convoy are a great and friendly bunch. The Airshow is beyond cool, once you go, I doubt you'll miss another one. My wife and I start looking forward to the next one while we unpack from the one we've just been to. You could bring a...
Hijack away, doesn't bother me :D
I just took in my mig for warranty repairs, best little welder I've had the pleasure of using, MillerMatic 212 Auto-Set. I've used a lot bigger welders but none as simple to use on multiple thicknesses of metal. You just tell it the thickness and the wire...
Actually they paid me with pizza and  and provided fun company, any excuse to drive the truck and I'm there. I even let the guy who owned the other truck do the lifting with the wired remote control.
They were thinking the HEMTT needs two of them one pointed each side making a...
Pretty rare and I'm not current on the prices, if I had to guess about $15,000 WITHOUT the guns. It was a rare sight to see 2 of them in one garage.
Complete with phony guns it probably would be worth 3 times more than any truck you'd mount them to.
Did you fall over yet?
I'd dearly love to have that quad mount, I asked my wife when it was for sale and she said no. Then again, she told me I "had" to buy the HEMTT. You can't have everything.
The quad has 2 batteries to run a motor that turn a hyd. pump that turns and elevates the guns. The engine is there to keep the batteries charged. Simple and reliable.
