    Cargo lashing hook question

CRAP, that was what I was worried about, mine were welded and hence had no holes to measure. I wonder what MV they actually bolted them to . . .

    Cargo lashing hook question

Any of you guys have these bolted to the bed of your Deuce? If so, what is the attaching bolt diameter? I plan to use stainless steel rivnuts and bolts and I need to buy more rivnuts of the correct size. I don't want to trust TNJ Murray to give me the correct hole dia., I trust you guys a...

    Goat batteries

I would think that ANY battery seller would have both group 24 and 27. Group 24 was the most popular size used in cars until underhood real estate became scarce. Group 27 was the standard size for larger sedans and light pickups for many years. Group 29 and 31 were "upgrades" for those...

    Goat batteries

Group 24, 27, 29 or 31 are all fine. The 3-53 is easy to start and does not take much amperage or cranking. I recommend a battery cutoff sw. that takes away chassis ground. All the above is assuming your alternator is working properly. I'd save the money and get group 24 or 27 . . .

    hemtt fuel tanks

Are you kidding? 3200 RPM in an 855 Cummins?

    hemtt fuel tanks

I'm sure you could find a nice slightly smaller tank and still have it look good. You could aim for the same general proportions and have something that doesn't cost $450-500 to fill. Also something that doesn't weigh 1350-1450 lbs. full of fuel!

    hemtt fuel tanks

60" long and about 28.5" in dia. I warn you, it is BIG but the HEMTT frame is off the ground pretty far.

    Pretty much done!

I like the tire upgrade, makes it look like a whole different rig, more agressive. CRAP, it makes me want one. :D

    HEMTT Update

I'm not in your league Leonard, at least not yet. Since they are all made out 1/8 aluminum, I don't think they will be protecting anything. Honestly they are just for looks and to keep the kids from falling out. I was a bad boy yesterday, I forgot to tighten the lock nut on my heavy duty...

    HEMTT Update

We thought about that but decided that they take up too much darn room. We still need the truck to haul our camping stuff for the larger events.

    HEMTT Update

Thanks, now I just need the pods and a Cobra gunship to finish the display . . . I wish!

    HEMTT Update

Accessorizing Got some accessories to display with the HEMTT: 2-12 tube 2.75" rocket transport racks. Each tube holds 4 and so I have one full tube, all I need for display. Just the kind of cargo this truck was meant to haul. Even the same year of manufacture as the truck. For shows we'll...

truck and trailer setup for towing a deuce

Yup, and for heavier useage they are typically a gooseneck with a 2 5/16 ball and socket. Mine is rated for 30,000 trailer and load, 7500 tongue weight on the ball.

truck and trailer setup for towing a deuce

I have towed quite a bit heavier than a Deuce. A tank and a 5 ton. I use an F450 with a custom made trailer. It's 5th wheel BTW.

    Hi from another PNW'er

Just buy the wife something green too, it worked for me. I bought a Stalwart and she got a Ferret. When I wanted a Scorpion tank she said fine, as long as she could have a Fox. Fun hobby for the whole family and most MV'ers aren't stuck up as many in the car collecting crowd.

    Hi from another PNW'er

Welcome to the site! Most events are open for the asking.

How many of these have you seen

That would give a gold plated golf cart a run for most expensive cart on the course. :D

How many of these have you seen

Yes Jas it does, the front wheel is not needed for low speed operation.

How many of these have you seen

It's not a motorcycle but I understand they turn well. Top speed is only about 44 mph.
