I am a heavy Diesel tech by trade so as for can i rebuild one , no problem.
On the test, i did preform this test there on the side of the road and i did get bleed back to the master which is why i went to the " fluid end" of the air pack and opened the bleeder there which relived the pressure...
Thanks Lou i will look but.. All glad hands have shut off valves on them and they have been shut off forever so even if it did have a vent the shut off would prevent a vent. the venting is handled with the quick drop air valve under the drives side. Or at least should be.
That's why the n14 where you got your turbo from has a 90' elbow tube clamped on. One on an n14 will **** near glow. I also like that you used a N14 exhaust manifold as well you can pick them up cheep $ 250 new. the turbo can be had for $450 new but it will not have the clamp or 90' elbow.
I...
Yeah? What exhaust manifold and turbo did you use. I have wanted to do this and even gathered up parts for such but ran in to a wall on the exhaust manifold?
Any one done this yet?

Sorry, my bad. M813a1 5 ton.
The glad hands have dust covers on them yes and shut off valves. What i had a problem with is the hyd fluid under pressure going out to the brakes but not being allowed to return to the master cyl. the brake pedal just froze up solid.
A vehicle, regardless of size, weight, or year of manufacture, that was manufactured for use in any country's military forces and is restored and maintained to accurately represent its military design and markings. The vehicle may be used only for parades, club activities...
Well today a buddy " driving a Pinz" and i were out and i hit the brakes one to many times i guess because the truck just locked up at a light. The brakes got hard as a rock and needless to say would not move. No warning no sings that their might be a problem "ie, dragging brakes a hard pedal...
My guess is there is now some bare wire that got the insulation cooked off and has power and ground shorting out. i would look at the light switch it self.
Just a guess.
I wish you were closer.. id give you my mil spec battery's for a ride in that half track!!!
I pulled mine out in favor of using 4- 31 vhd Interstate 1160 cca.
mine are fine but these are better and more common for me .;-)
A deuce plug is not the same size and as far as i can tell the plug in my M813 a1 is a 1" pipe tread. you could just go to home dept and grab a few pipe nipples and caps as a temp plug?
I have found very little in my searching. Either you all live in a cooler place or this is going to be very hard..lol
:tin hat:
I have seen the red dot units all over the place but i want to drive in high water and the condenser would need to be a roof type mount. I dont have that much roof? lol
I got all my stuff and have the winch out of the frame " because its the only way to change the **** brake housing" the roller must be removed to do so which is a real pain in the frame.
Oh, i meant for all of you. Those links are loaded on my server and will be there forever..
If anyone else ever needed them is what i was talking about.. :jumpin:
