lol, I learned that way my self trying to put stuff back together that i blew up.

I am **** good with a tig but the housing in its cup shape deformed before it broke which means the seal land will have to be built up and cut again + 5 or more hours to have a patch work of pieces. I would rather just buy it since it is my drag brake i would like it to work and if the nose...
I think someone " before me" was trying to push something large and it slipped under the bumper and struck the housing for the drag brake on the winch. Needless to say its very tore up.. bent broken and cracks every where. :(
Does any one know who builds the winch that is mounted on the 5 ton?
More importantly who sells parts for them? My winch brake housing is badly cracked.:sad:
its much easier to just mount a cooling system conditioner in the cooling system and change the coalescent once a year. most system are a pain to set the ph on a truck that does not run every day. To high is just as bad as to low , it can eat the seals and worse the brass out of water pumps...
As did i but until i flushed them out the baffles kept the crud in the the back of the tank and it kept seeping out and in to the filter. filling it.

I had a very serous water contamination problem. Your best bet will be to pull the lower 1 1/2 drain plug drain and flush out the tank. then replace your fuel and filter. It will make life so much better to fix the problem first then filter the rest out. Just my .02

The BF-1259 fuel filter uses a BF-1311 base. Its quite common on lots of newer large and medium duty Diesel trucks.
I can say that a 5 ton front end can take a lot of water damage and with the changing of a few bearings ,races and seals..... The front end is back together again..:-D
AAaahh thats a good suggestion.. And your right" i just pulled the bolts out" they are straight in to the diff and one was missing..
I drained out 14 gal's of muck.....oil,water, and just plain yuck...
