    Used humvee tires

Dookey, did you run out of the 37s with the paint on them? I notice they aren't listed on the site anymore. Been following your vendor thread over on Pirate for a while and I'm about to the point where I'm going to order 4 or 5 of the 37s for my Ramcharger. I wish I had the cash to get a set...

    NP203 shifter question

    Righty-tighty, lefty-loosy. :)

    NP203 shifter question

It's threaded with a jamb nut. Back the nut down the shaft and unscrew the knob.

Spotted a cannon? while getting gas for my bobbed deuce

Positive. It doesn't look anything like an M777 to me.

    Experimental 5/4t? - XM705

I believe the engine was originally a GM 307. If it still has all the waterproof accessories it is probably still the same engine.

Spotted a cannon? while getting gas for my bobbed deuce

Judging by the information at the link Maynard83 posted, the barrel is in the storage configuration. For towing and firing, the barrel must face forward.

Spotted a cannon? while getting gas for my bobbed deuce

Looks like the M198 155mm howitzer that is being phased out and replaced by the M777.

    Experimental 5/4t? - XM705

I disagree. It doesn't even look like a truck. The bed sides are really low like a flatbed from the 30s and the cab is way too tall. It's just no proportioned right to look like a truck. Looks more like it should be mounted to a merry-go-round or something, lol.

    M725 gear ratio

That's McInfantry's truck. He is or was a member here also though I haven't seen him in a long time.

    M880 with HMMWV Rims?

Nah, it's a 440. It's here in Virginia somewhere. It's for sale on armyjeeps.net. Vehicles Page1 A very steep price...

    M725 gear ratio

Keep in mind that only the later models had the speed governor. Earlier models did not have it though the same top speeds still apply.

Broke an axle, now what ?

Judging by the pic, I'd say it was definitely the axle shaft, though the GovLoc could have gone with it. Either way like everyone else has said, if you are going to be rough on the vehicle an upgrade to a full floating 8 lug rear and matching 8 lug front is the way to go. The ring and pinion...

    Saved one! 1975 M880

A dash shouldn't be too hard to find. One from any '72-'80 truck should work. Check Ebay.

    universal camouflage

On the subject of hunting patterns like Realtree, they have been proven to work ok in hunting but fail when used against humans. Anyone with depth perception can see a bark style pattern is not natural and therefore it draws the eye.

    universal camouflage

Saying military vehicle should not be camouflage just makes very little sense to me. Seriously, that's just laughable. On the subject of "universal" patterns, they simply do not work. ACU is prime example of a pattern that was supposed to be usable in multiple environments and it has the...

    6.2 to 727 adapter??

Jeep 727 transmissions do not share the same bolt pattern as the Mopar small block 727s.

    6.2 to 727 adapter??

Sounds like you are trading a dog for a dog. I'd just swap in a 360 and be done with it. If you are really feeling muscular, a Mopar big block is a bolt in with the right parts and so is a Cummins 6BT. Also, I;d be interested in seeing a Mopar 727 mounted to a GM engine and I did not think...

    Tank Cozy

I'd say you are right. Not very many tanks out there with 5 road wheels and I could tell it had an overhanging bustle on the turret. I didn't even consider the Chaffee. [thumbzup]

    Tank Cozy

Any guesses on the model of the tank? I'm thinking maybe an M41.
