    Exhaust stack gasket replacement?

Following this thread as my A0 has a rotten section of exhaust under my cab. My gaskets are pretty much gone. What was there looked like cork (?).

February 14, 2015? I'm seeing this post as new on February 17, 2015. Did the event already happen?

    Red's deuce/camper project

I saw an old home-made tractor once with two Model A three speed transmissions. The lowest gear was double reverse. There wasn't enough horsepower to run third-third.

    1952 M135 W/Winch

"The buzzer sounded weak, so I tapped on the outside lightly and it started to sound pretty good until sparks started coming out from around the three bolts that hold it on." This is a built-in feature that most people don't know exists. If you don't hear the buzzer, after a few seconds it...

    Hmmwv on a trailer?

Sometimes U-Haul sells used trailers. Just make sure you check them over closely for damage.

TONGUE INSPECTION ! EVERYBODY check 'em before they FAIL ! ! !

California is pretty strict when it comes to trailer brakes: California"Every trailer and semitrailer manufactured after 1940 with a GVW of 6,000 lbs. or more and operated at a speed of 20 mph or more must be equipped with brakes; trailers and semitrailers built after 1966 and with a GVW of...

Lift Pump maintance for deuce and a half

There is a little cap on top of the pump with a fuse inside. Start there. You don't have to drop the tank to lift the pump out, if it comes to that.

    Debating about buying a M37

I would only worry about two things with this truck: How much has the interior deteriorated since the top was removed? Can the seller replace some of the missing parts, like the spare tire carrier or the tool box doors? Those parts can be found, but it would be nice to get them without too much...

Lemoore CA, to San Diego CA, to Millington TN

Don't be afraid to downshift going up and down grades. You can go about 25 mph in first gear and 50 mph in second. Have a good trip!

    M923 Brake Question

Let me be the first to gently say this: you need to read this manual before you even think of taking your truck on the road. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/upload/939/TM9-2320-272-10.pdf It will answer almost all of your operation questions. We are here to help.

New guy from Canada with a 5 ton

IMHO, this is too rare of a truck to cut up and make into a rock crawler.

New guy from Canada with a 5 ton

Interesting truck. Based on the model number and the bed, it was originally set up for single real tires, not duals. The original wheels had a different offset. The truck looks very restorable and I see it has a heater.

    SR71 Blackbird

I got to sit in the cockpit of an SR-71 once. I've never been in another plane that had a switch marked "Thunderstorm".

Me and My M105A2 Extreme off road rock climb project

What is the tow rating on your jeep? I think you've used it up already with just the empty trailer. The really slick jeep trailer, though much smaller, is an M416.

Last ride of the 2014 season!

That's a sweet A2 and beautiful countryside. What's going on in the background of photo #4?

New Member with 1955 GMC 424V

That shift pattern is the same as the non-synchronized pattern of the Clark transmission in CCKW's. That could be what is in your truck. I myself would drive the truck around with the 302 and see how you like it. Maybe faster gears in the rear-end. There are performance upgrades available...
