    M88x Front DANA 60

Yokes are different, commonly GM axles have Spicer yokes while Dodges usually have Detroit yokes. The springs will have to be bowed in to bolt up a GM D60 and you will have to change how the brake lines are run and work out a steering connection as the GM axles usually have a larger rod end.

    M88x Front DANA 60

Dodge Dana 60s were available in '75-'93 W series trucks. I believe '72-'74 used a closed knuckle Dana 70 front but a D60 is possible in there somewhere. The '75-'79 Dana 60s will have drive flanges instead of locking hubs as they are all fulltime 4WD trucks. Dana 60s from '80 to '93 will...

    Anyone here have a T-72 or 55/54/60????

Check with the Virginia Museum of Military Vehicles. They list a T-72 in their collection and actually get in a use their tanks some. I think there are a couple SS members that volunteer to work there. http://www.vmmv.org/

    Stock M880 axles

Hmm, no axles? Sounds like a good time to upgrade to a front D60 if you aren't doing a restoration and are going to get rough with it. Also a good opportunity to convert to part time 4WD if that appeals to you.

    sell deuce transfer need np200/205

Sounds like a transfer case from a M135/M211 series truck. That is the only case I know of that spins the front output backward and the fact that it has two rear output pretty much seals the deal.

    BFG 35's weakness?

Since the tires were on it when you bought the vehicle, it's hard to say what they were put through before you got them. I have run BFGs on just about every truck I've had with the exception of the current Ramcharger which I foolishly put these stupid Boggers on. If I could get a set of 35"...

updated pics of my hemtt restoration

Ok, I really have to ask since I didn't see where anyone else had asked... Exactly how tall is that thing with the commo shelter? I know a HEMTT is big, and that shelter isn't exactly small and the pics with the phone and cable lines kinda made me wonder if you are going to have to dodge...

    Rear view mirror?

How is the mirror really useful in a truck like this? You can't really see much unless it's very far behind you, and you can see it in the side mirrors then. I personally don't like them in a truck of any kind. I even took the one out of my Ramcharger because it is more of an annoyance than a...

Combat Rescue Device - Rat Claw

Seems like a very unsafe thing to use in my opinion. I do note that they list a safety strap hooked up to control the rope after it releases but still not something I would call safe. I fully understand it's use on the battlefield where a few seconds can mean life or death, but here at home, I...

Combat Rescue Device - Rat Claw

Agreed. This looks to me like a bit of this and that assembled from all the usual chokers, shackles, hooks and such that are part of my Ramcharger's normal recovery kit. It's not really a "tool" in my eyes, especially since allowing a wire rope to lay against the shackles with no pulley or...

    interesting russian amphibious vehicle

Good grief. This thing gets reposted here about as bad as the super sized WM300 Power Wagon does over on the various Dodge forums I frequent, lol.

Did the M37 ever come in a tanker configuration?

Not much if you put it on a M37. 240 gallons of fresh water weighs right at 1 ton (2000 lbs). That's way more than what M37 is rated to handle. I don't think I would like to drive one carrying more than three loaded 55 gallon drums in the back which would be 165 Gal, getting close to the 3/4...

Did the M37 ever come in a tanker configuration?

I really think this is a poor idea. I'm not trying to put anyone down but the idea of using a 3/4 ton truck to haul a liquid tank of any size is a little more than ridiculous in my opinion. The military did not make a tanker version of an M37 truck for the obvious reason that the tank would be...

hhmv hydraulic winch on a deuce

He is thinking about a transfer case mounted PTO which would give you speed control through the gears of the transmission. Is it even possible to put a PTO on the transfer case of a Deuce?

hhmv hydraulic winch on a deuce

Just curious but why would you put such a small capacity winch on a Deuce?

    Military Power Wagons

I think that last site is Cabell's, who is a member here.

picked up my S250 shelter today!

http://www.rapidrivet.com/ I think they carry the tool also. Snap-On and Mac used to carry them and I think Fastenal should be able to get the threaded inserts also. If you are just going to put a few in, you can use a bolt, nut and washer to install them.

Work on the baby HEMTT grinds to a start.

Very nice looking, Jones. I wondered what it looked like in a dead-on side shot. Looks sort of European, like some of the large off road racing trucks they have across the pond.

    318 timing

That's the correct timing for an M880, or similar mid '70s era 318 2BBL. It can vary over the years with different options and emissions regulations.
