    Identification Help

I don't think it's a T-18, but it definitely has a "Brownie Box" in front of it and does seem to be some sort of Borg Warner transmission.

    Identification Help

Lol, ok. It just sparked my memory. Sure enough, it is from Rammstein's 1998 video for "Du Riechst So Gut" which loosely translates to "You Smell So Good". For those who don't know, Rammstein is a German metal/Industrial band and most of the lyrics are in their native tongue. Here is the vid...

    Identification Help

I can't help you with the transmission ID and I hate to hijack your thread but I'm curious to know if your avatar is from a Rammstein video?

4x4 Step Van - ID? Any way to title?

Agreed, that is a closed knuckle Dana 70 front axle. Not the most desirable axle out there but it does have some beef to it. I wonder how they got disc brakes on it? By the pic it looks like it still has drum brakes.

    locking diffs on a deuce?

Agreed, Kenny. I don't know why I colored it like that. I don't remember if I did that for a reason or if I was just having a brain fart. I remember thinking that it might be purple because I had clicked the link and IE sometimes changes the link color when you click on them. I guess I...

    Gin Poles Finished

Ah, I should have considered that you would need it hinged to swing a bit when you modify the length. I miss the obvious once again, lol.

    Gin Poles Finished

Another point is your clamps are on wrong. You should never alternate the wire rope clamps. This is how the clamps should always be used:

    Gin Poles Finished

Nice fab work. Are the gin poles designed to move back and forth? I was going to do a similar, but smaller, design for the front of my Ramcharger to do off road recovery but I was going to pin them together at the top and have them hinge up and down at the bumper. It seems like your design...

    locking diffs on a deuce?

Well I'm glad you found us and mentioned the store, thanks! Gives me confidence in my keywords I came up with for each item when it pops up in a random search. We are fairly new but still small enough that we pay particular attention to each and every order personally and if it isn't right, we...

    locking diffs on a deuce?

Hey, that's us, lol. I don't think we can come down on the price of the Detroits for the 2.5 ton Rockwells but if anyone is interested, PM me and I'll see if there is any wiggle room on them for SS members. [thumbzup]

M820A2 is home safe...Now it's time to check her out!

That is the nicest expansible van truck I have ever seen. Does it have the support legs for the box when the sides are out? When are you going to open her up? :-D

Picking up my M820A2 from Pineville, LA

That's a dream truck for sure, Goldneagle. I'm sure I don't want to know what you gave for it, lol.

    windows theme

If you are running Win XP and want something easy to do that will get rid of all the blue and be a little cooler, go to your desktop, right click and go to Properties. Click the Appearance tab and you should see three drop-down menus, "Windows and Buttons", "Color Scheme" and "Font Size". Make...

    windows theme

Someone would have to change the settings and then save the theme, then it could be traded around on the 'Net. Someone just has to do the tedious work first, lol. There are about 18 different parts of the various windows that would have to be re-colored and then any icon, font, font color...

    M-5 Tank dug up

On a similar note, there was a M4A3E8 Sherman with the M2 dozer blade buried at the Central Islip Psychiatric Center in NY. http://www.aaftankmuseum.com/Archive11M4A3E8.htm

    m1028 - "trailering" gone bad..

The truck may have stayed on the trailer but that is a classic case of how not to tie down a vehicle on a trailer. Nothing crossed, straps tied in knots and I don't even want to know what the hell the deal with the 4x4 is. If someone asked me to pull a mess like that I would tell them no...
