    PNW Info Thread!

I don't think the Humvee issue is a problem with this. This bill had bipartisan support, but it was a busy session and my guess is that they didn't get much cheer leading from our side. Since we know about it this time that should make a difference. One of the issues that I have had with...

    PNW Info Thread!

Sorry, don't know who it went to, but I heard about it after it died in committee. You might que up your Rep. that this is coming again. I will be talking with Rep. Ed Orcutt on this issue 19 DEC. He has seen my vehicles in multiple parades and knows what we do with them. This time we will...

    PNW Info Thread!

Do you need a runner or are you ready to do some work on it? Also am having a meeting with a State Rep on this issue of MV licensing on 19 DEC. There was a bill ran in the last legislative session, that seemed to be oriented towards Humvees. It had bipartisan support but did not come out of...

Chronicle of a tan M1101 trailer purchase from GovLiquidation.com

There are still quite a few M1101 - 1102's in stock at JBLM. I need and keep coveting a good tan cover for one.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Ahab, did you catch a couple weeks ago a, special on the moon landing? Apparently 2 - 3 weeks before lift off, someone asked about a flag. No one had thought of that and placing a flag on the moon was against some International laws on sovereignty. The President was said to have told the...

Pics of members rides in their parades

We had about 14 vehicles in the parade yesterday. More pictures later. This was the first parade for the newly formed Lewis County WA chapter of the Young Marines. The Gamewardens of Vietnam were happy to help them out with a ride on their M931 that they tow the boat with.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Didn't they use the flutter free flag on the moon? Or sound stage. :) But great idea.

Colorado Bill SB19-054 RE: (Former) Military Vehicle Motor Vehicle Regulation

So don't you value your vehicle for historical purposes? While not living in that state, everyone I own is an historical vehicle. It is sort of odd that for the minor amount of vehicles out there, they would exclude any of them from being purposed for business.

    Recovering vehicle markings

I use 4-0 steel wool, sometimes water for lube and sometimes lacquer thinner. But I like the carb cleaner idea. Hadn't heard that one before.

Is it time yet to have that discussion? Hmmwv discrimination.

There are some good threads on here addressing this type of issue, including the 1998 letter from the FMVSS people addressing the idea that military vehicles are designed for 60 percent highway and 40 percent off road. There is also that Fed rule that vehicles over 25 years old don't have to...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Moved the NW Chapter of the Gamewardens of Vietnam M931A2 from Kent, WA to Chehalis yesterday, for tomorrow's open house, depending on snow. Of course we picked nearly the coldest day of the year, so the batteries weren't having any of this starting stuff. It has been parked at Pacific Power...

Calling on all Michigan Historic Military Vehicle Owners

Thank you all for your work on this. You had a lot of good info in there. I have been battling for a couple of years on a 923A2. The State Patrol inspector disallowed it because of no FMVSS sticker. Even though it is over 25 years old. You are giving good ideas on how Historical military...

WSUCougar's M925A1 Acquisition and Build Thread

But the antennae is tan! Are you feeling okay Mike? Wish you could have had that setup with us at the Capital last weekend. It certainly would have made a statement. met a man at the Ft. Lewis Museum yesterday that asked about the 5 tons we had at the Capital. It seems that the 1SG's truck...
