Well- I guess nobody here on SS lives near Ft Lost in the Woods, Misery. But I made the recovery with just a few small issues (like total brake failure in a construction zone!). Home safe and sound.

I've put group 31 batteries in a deuce (plastic battery box) and it was a REAL tight fit, and I will not use them again. I've been using some Costco $59 lately, and they are great for summer recoveries.

Check the wire to the buzzer. Some guys disconnect the buzzer and just watch the guage. Typically just a push in connection.

It's never had a problem in cold weather -- using it in a couple different trucks. Of course it doesn't get colder than about zero around here. There are several trucks with same system and never heard of an issue.

Here are some pics of seth_o's truck. He's putting in the new brake cylinder. The old one had leaked ALL the brake fluid. He also took care of a serious air leak, and the truck looks good to go- Salt Lake City to Sacramento.
