That's great to get it thru that fast. You can grab a cheap flight into Vegas, run over and pick up the truck and drive it home. The GL lot is on the north end of Las Vegas Blvd- so you could even take a taxi or bus out there.
Most of the trucks at Nellis are ready to go with just the normal...
Hi and welcome to the forum. Be sure to read about the new 'Steel Soldiers Finance Program'. This might come in handy if you bid and win a truck but happen to be out of money at the time! Don't know why- but these trucks are very addictive and cause me to loose control at times...
When I use the 'Mark Threads Read', it gives me this error message and DOES NOT mark them 'read':

Just so you don't get bummed out- I broke my C-5 (and C4) vertebrae many years ago- it was a bummer for a while, but now it's hardly noticeable, and it's never slowed or stopped me from doing anything I want. So hang tight and take lots of vitamin I.

I just looked at this Fire Truck (in Cedar City, UT as pictured in post #207) and would be happy to pass on any info if you are interested in buying it. It would be a great truck and is in excellent condition and includes lots of good 'fireman' stuff. PM me for info. I do not have any...
Hi new guy. We do some winter rides in our military trucks around St George and Mesquite. You'll have to come with us sometime. Do you have any OD stuff?
That's all folks... I'm home and just now recovering from 'heat exhaustion'...! Actually, if I didn't enjoy driving these trucks I wouldn't buy them so dang far away...
Here is the definitive thread about the wiper change---> http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce-modification-hot-rodding/46120-civy-wipers.html
Used the parts as listed (bought them off Amazon) and it all went together- no problem. If the link doesn't work- search for 'Civy Wipers'
Finally picked up the very first GL deuce I bought back in Dec 2009. Stored it at a friends place not far from Ellsworth. I wasn’t too careful about the overall condition of the truck, and didn’t preview, so it was a roll of the dice. While the truck is a little rough around the edges, it does...
Good job on fixing your issue. For all those who will read this thread in the future- you will find a '5mm adapter' or spacer (plastic) that is in the arm kit. Use it and you won't have the 'slop' problem. The set-up worked great in a recent cross country trip with some heavy rainstorms.
Now...
Ha- I don't think my wife could go more than a few minutes without talking... and with my earplugs- she'd blow a gasket. Ha. She found the M1009 to be quite comfortable, and a couple times she made a pit stop and I kept rolling, with her able to catch back up.
Mark- Carol says Hi!
Glad to hear your EUC finally came thru. Let me know when you're coming up and I'll help you get them off the base.
You are right on the tires on the A3- that's on the project list. Funny they marked all the wheels with location marks- yet put some of the tires on backwards. A couple of them...
Success! Just wrapped up our trip from Ft McCoy (Wisconsin) to Ft Impact Guns (Utah). Thanks to Mike at McCoy, he is among the best and I appreciate him.
Bought two trucks from GL, M35A3 back in April, the M1009 this month. Drove the M35A3 to Custer, SD and stored it. The wife and I then flew...
I would consider most o/p gauges in 2.5 ton trucks to be relatively accurate- meaning the numbers may not relate to the actual pressure, but will give a consistent reading. So get to know the pressure readings for your truck, and if there are any changes- then you know you have a problem to check.
My CUCV from 5199 just cleared. Here's the timeline FWIW:
Submission of EUC 05/20/2010
EUC sent to Battle Creek 05/25/2010
Customer Notified 06/08/2010
