Maybe I'm different, but I view any vehicle as a fine piece of machinery and I usually don't do something that would purposely damage it. Sure there is normal wear and tear, but I don't go out of my way to abuse any vehicle.
I feel this is ESPECIALLY true of Historic Military Vehicles...
Man, I sure would like to tow the M38A1 up with the deuce and run it around the desert.
I also have some vintage clean up tools that need to be aired out.
Hopefully my co-pilot will give me permission for this flight.

Here are pictures of the "rub guard" for the radiator hose on a CUCV. You'll notice it's doing its job here. This belt is stretched and will need replacement soon. I hope the pictures make sense - it's a little hard to take pictures of this at night on my driveway. The piece is semi-circular...
