Lol, I actually tried to come up with some sort of number related to the M880s to give my XM8-something but pretty much all the numbers close to 880 are taken by a vehicle already, lol. I wasn't going to go too far into it anyway, just some BO lights, antennas, 3 color NATO, etc. Not going to...
RE: Re: RE: H1
Thanks for the info, Tac. I might get in touch with him if I get my money issues sorted out. Shipping is the main killer on most of these deals for me since no one on the East Coast seems to have any, they are all out West.
I just realized that I haven't posted any pics of my Ramcharger lately. Got tired of running around on the pizza cutter wheels and tires and gave up finding a good deal on some used BFGs in good shape so I put my old Boggers back on. I really hate these tires but they are bigger and give me a...
RE: H1
Uh, screw the flares, that looks retarded, even for a Chevy.
So what are you going to do Tac? Go the spacer route or send the rims to poor little me for my Ramcharger?
RE: M240 on the HMMWV
Ouch, $1,500 is a lot for a Airsoft LMG but there aren't a lot of choices for a M240. What brand is it, Trigger Happy/TGS? If so, you can get the heat shields and RIS rail separate:

I've used tubes in tubeless tires for years with no problems. You have to get radial tubes for radial tires, and bias tubes for biasply tires, but that is the only concern I have run into.
Just a note, the 361 is a low deck "B" series engine and shares many parts and dimensions with the 383 and 400 engines. The 440 is a "RB" series high deck and shares it's basic block design with the 413, 426 Wedge, and 426 Hemi.
RE: Re: RE: Tire Width on a unimog 404
Hmmm, I seem to remember that we strapped your 'Mog down by the axles. Did we screw up your brake lines? I don't remember, but if so I'm sorry! I do remember us having the discussion about binding the frame down or just the axles and letting the...
I find it odd that someone bids $10k increments on an auction to get to the reserve when the bidder doesn't have much history and not history of buying military items that I could see. Probably his wife's or g/f's account or something and he was just bidding it up at the end to try and get...

Looks to be a chassis for a 400 gal water tank.

Ahh, that was one of Eastern's trucks. The power steering conversion is pretty straight forward and $200 is probably an average price for the parts. You can do worse, but you can also do better. If it were my truck, I'd pass on the stock steering shaft and use a Borgeson shaft. They run a...
I see no problem with scrapping currently unwanted MVs or MVs that are unfeasible to restore at the present time in order to preserve other vehicles. In essence, it's not much different than taking two or three vehicles and swapping parts to make one good one. I don't think Wreckerman is...
Yeah, I have seen pics with both smoke grenade launchers and also with a large spot lamp like was common on versions of the M60 tank.
Is it going to be a 100% stock restoration or are there going to be modifications? A crate Hemi will bolt right in place of that 361 and then you can go...
I don't know Keeny. It almost seems a continuation of the trend with the Dana 44 in the front of the M880 series when it was labled a 5/4 ton. Their predecessor, the M715, was a bit beefier with rock hard suspension and Dana70 rear and Dana 60 front. The M1008 and similar trucks are the only...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Expansible Van Body Corroded Stuck!
Pick up some Mopar Rust Penetrant at the local dealer or some GM Heat Control Valve Solvent, it's the same stuff also. It will eat rust like nothing else but it's not cheap.
