Will this work?

It fits a Federal-Signal rotator beacon. There are others made to fit other brands also but I was of the mind that the military ones were F-S.
It looks interesting but I bet the thing is hard to turn with all that rubber in the rear fighting you. I also don't like the fuel tank in the bed, even though there isn't a whole lot of alternatives. I would hate to have to climb up in the bed with a fuel hose every time I stopped for fuel.
I'll be the first to second the idea that SWAT team members are generally egotistical A--holes. They somehow think they are elite somehow, never mind that they get half the training of the average soldier and can't compare in training, tactics, or ability with real elite forces. Some of the...
RE: Not the V300
The shielded headlamps are a good idea as far as protecting the lamps but it can be a potential chink in the armor if it was hit right there and is probably a bit more labor intensive to build that way instead of surface mounting them and adding a guard.
So you believe that when a gunman goes nuts and start shooting to kill people that our police that protect us only deserve the sheetmetal of their patrol cars to protect them? Anything more powerful than a .22 will go through the door of the average police car. Personally I have no issue with...
It's an odd vehicle for sure. At first I didn't even notice the row of visual ports the go from one side and wrap around the front to the other side in an unbroken line. That is a very unique feature in APCs. I was mainly concerned with the front plate, the odd stepped body line towards the...
A Dragoon is 4x4 only. And I trust Jane's infinitely more then any other source, as does our State Dept and many other Government agencies around the world.
I challenge ANYONE to find a pic of an 8x8 Dragoon as it is known by the manufacturer.
This vehicle is a GPV Colonel 8x8 built in New...
A Dragoon is a 4x4 model built by General dynamics. It's clearly not a Dragoon.

It's not a Stryker or anything done by General Dynamics. It looks a little like a Steyr, but the center of the hull and lines are different. Honestly it looks more Soviet than anything.
Keep in mind that the military does not want these vehicles in civilian hands and look at the few that have slipped through as a mistake. Couple that with the fact that AM General has tried to get the registrations cancelled and I believe I would not bark up this particular tree. If the DoD...
Re: Enhanced Logistic Off-Road Vehicle ELSORV
Correct, that was a typo, lol.
Here is a link to some video:

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but it seems to fit here. Mods, feel free to move if necessary.
This was posted up on Pirate and I searched and didn't see any mention of it here. It's called an ELSORV and looks to be a very basic, down to earth light armored off road vehicle. It uses a...
Not normally, no. They are more of a timed flasher, where mechanical flashers rely on the resistance in the bulbs and wiring to heat up a bimetal strip to flash the lamps.
Sounds like you have an electronic flasher. I had a Signal-Stat in a pickup I used to have that was like that. Very similar to a old style can flasher, but with beter electronics and worked well no matter how many lights I had hooked up...
I don;t know about illegal, but they are definitely a dumb idea. When trying to stop the drive shaft, you get the multiplication of the gearing in effect so stopping a truck at 50 MPH becomes trying to stop a vehicle well over that and with only one brake per axle unless you put one on both...
