Does it still have the fuel air heater in the discharge tube of the turbo for cold weather make sure the switch is off and is not leaking that would make it smoke and knock because is delivering fuel before injection time kind like pinging on a gas engine..

Looking at the engine tag is probably the best way, also a quick loook at the oil deepstick also helps , so far LDS i have seen have it in the back of the block where LTD have it in front of the turbo.

As far as i know its all stock the only difrent from my friends M52A2 it has the wastegated turbo with a larger compressor, his is like a LTD engine

It has the stock turbo and it gets around 10lbs, probably will be a small gain but the denser the air the more you pack in the cylender which will make it more eficient, not looking for hot rodding a little more efficient air and exhaust temps;-)
