Why not just get an M109 van bodied truck and connect the cab to the box with the same method. You would have to crawl through the hole, but it wouldn't look much different except for the side view where the connection was made.

That's odd about the BO lamp. The pic in the original XM757 thread labeled "Cab Canvas" shows it hanging off the front of the cab. At first I thought maybe it was because yours has the winch but the pic I posted of Tom's 8x8 doesn't have it either and his doesn't have a winch. Not sure if it...

The grille you have in your '76 model is correct for that year. The grilles changed a number of times in the 1970s.

Yup. 11.00x20 XLs. It's unusual to see a bob'd Deuce retain the dual rears but I like the look.
