OK found a surplus rebuilt factory alternator so I just got it going for now. But it did show some of my other problems were because of the alternator going out. I thought I had a dash ground issue because all of the gauges started jumping around including alternator gauge but it kept working...

To put new fluid in my air over hyd system I removed return line from pump and put in a jug behind air filter and ran system when ever i needed to and just kept adding new fluid. Eventually it was all new that way.

Tow price seems way off of reasonable. To bring my 1084 from Louisiana to KC was 2000$ including semi tow trucks at each end to load and unload it. I would buy another truck to part out like tenmogger said and be money ahead if you have the ability.

The A1 can be 3126 or C7. Look at the info sticker on top of the valve cover.

Got to do my first real lift when got back from auction.
