Can anyone help me identify this:
Forget the photo date stamp, I just took this off an A3 that I purchased and I'd like to make this truck up for my son, who is on a boomer. I can't seem to find this shark in Navy insignia's.
What happened to Government Liquidation auction today? About 1:00 I started getting this:
www.govliquidation.com’s server DNS address could not be found.
I checked back many times and get the same thing....but I did get an e-mail that says I was outbid...just great??
What is the largest physical size set of batteries that will fit in an A3 Deuce? I have read group 31 in many threads, but want to confirm if there is any larger that will fit.
I need a (one) hydraulic motor pickup at Lockbourne Ohio and either; 1. send UPS to North Indiana; 2. bring to North Indiana or; 3. hold for my pickup.
It's in a wood box that appears capable of shipping (32.00" x 48.00" x 42.00"(L x W x H)). It says it weighs 60#. It would be small in such a...
Isuzu C240.... a nice industrial engine (generator take outs I believe) that can be used in fork trucks, marine and small trucks. What a great little engine, around 38 hp. I bought one and hope to use it for a small sawmill.
I can't find much on it in the SS search, except as a potential...
I'm combining two rims (Henderson 20 bolts) to make a wider, 12" rim for the 450 Sand Trail tires. They are radial tubeless so I'm not sure I will need beadlocks, but they are a low pressure tire. (note I'm only putting them on the rear and using 14.00 on the front).
I can find some more...
The standard beadlocks seem to be around 8" wide for the 10" wide (20" dia) wheel.
Has anyone seen a 10" wide beadlock? I'm working on the possibility of putting a 12" wide rim together.
I had an (83) M817 dump truck with the Cummins 250 and it was a sweetie. I sold it and now am looking again and ran across a dump truck in a salvage yard that has the (turbo) Hercules engine, I think multi fuel.
I didn't have time to search it over, but with a bed in good shape and not real...
450/80/r20 Sand Trail tires on rims. Dam they are big. I got four from the last sale and put one next to the Mich. XZL 14.00 and the 14.00 looks small. I'm thinking trying a set on the rear of an 817 and go to the 14.00 Goodyear (w/combat rim) on the front.
I also have hub centered rims that...
Does anyone see a problem with using the 450/80/R20 Sand Trail tires as singles on a trailer (excavator) behind my M931? I have the heavy steel MRAP wheels that fit my trailer axles, hub centered, so the wheels should fit the tires. Hope they work, I own 4.
What are other people buying them...
Can someone please explain how the power divider on the BMY M939 wrecker works, possibly some pictures? Would it mount on a (91BMY) M931, given the short frame? It seems rather inefficient going through the Allison automatic. How about coming off the front of the engine for hydraulics?
My rebuilt M931 has a muffler entirely rotted out on the bottom. After getting it off, I find the top is welded at the seam about 20% and not 100%. Water pours in and with heat from running occasionally, rusts out in only a couple of years, blowing exhaust into critical air lines.
I wanted...
Has anyone assembled a vehicle, some could call a rat rod, from hummer components (front end suspension less 4 wheel drive, + body) and if so, could one title it for on-road use as an assembled vehicle?
I'm wanting a deuce and wonder what engine is recommended for longevity and performance. How about trans and overdrive? I have read many of the threads but never found one that compares Continental, Hercules and White, which I believe all came on A2s.
I like a quiet ride so a screaming...
Here are pics of my frame and axle for a M105 bed that will be a dump.
Wow, that was tough (getting pictures up).
I'm making a hinged frame to mount the bed to and a scissor will be built in. 7k axle w/electric brakes, hummer tires and about 10" lower than 105. Then will use the 105...
Of course the bridge truck, having dual 14.00's is 10' wide, but can the wheels off an 812 be put on another 800 or 900 series five ton in their dual configuration? Is the inside wheel less of a dish and the outside a very large offset or is there more space from the hub face to the springs or...
