How can Steel Solders members with equipment capable of helping the victims of Sandy get involved? Are the days of citizens helping out local fire and police/sheriff departments over? We don't need whack jobs. Just guys/girls with equipment that can help those local departments where ever we...
Thanks guys. I was thinking of drilling and pinning the knurled end/nut too since I have nothing to loose. When I went out today to double check the motor I noticed the red button was pushed in and stuck so with that in the motor wont work anyway. I have to figure a way to get that back out...
Its not a real big deal at I look at the passenger wiper motor as a built in "backup" should the driver one stop so I like to have both working. I'm still trying to figure this out.
Since super storm Sandy is coming for dinner I thought I should do a pre-flight check on my M35. My passenger side wiper motor has stripped the nut off the shaft and the wiper just sits while the motor seems to work fine. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get this working by...
The ride was about 300% better. With duelies every highway expansion joint bounces you right out of your seat. With these tires you don't even know you went over them. It was great and the truck was far more responsive to steering control with the new tires.
SMOKEWAGON66,
Thanks for the nice words about my truck. Yes the LAX on my truck is related to my name and yes the 91101 is in reference to September 11 2001.
It has been a while since I posted here but I need to pass the word on a fantastic outfit in Northern PA to get tires, parts and work done on any military vehicle. For honesty sake I don't work for them, I'm not getting anything for saying this and I did not know them until the minute I drove...
I am not sure if I can do this but I think I can. A while ago I set my deuce up just like you want to with a 12 V system for my emergency light, siren, etc. If you look at my post you will see how I did it and I have been extremely happy with the outcome. If it helps you are anyone else I am...
Deuceaid,
No idea about what the turbo does as far as PSI but I know I have a steady and constant air pressure supply with the hard plumbed OEM system so I decided to just go with that. Plus I can use the oem system even when the motor is not running for a little while until the tanks run dry...
joshuaz223,
That is awful kind of you. I'm not to far from you. I am located in the Finger Lakes. I think I have found a guy I can get the tires from and he is going to help me flip the hubs. He told me he did not think I should because the front and rear tires would "be close" to running in the...
salvorone,
I posted more detail earlier in this thread about the intercom. A few guys have PMed me and I advised them to start shopping on eBay for a aviation intercom. What I suggested was to buy a "portable" intercom for two or four people. Of course you will need headsets too. Make sure you...
Guys, I have to go to work but I will be back this afternoon and try to answer your questions. Just to be clear I did not convert the Deuce over to 12V. I just added a stand alone 12V system for any 12V items I want. It is completely separate from the 24V system. I think that is the beauty of it.
No problem 59apache. That is far better then any photos I could take of the bracket way down deep in the engine compartment. That's perfect.
Harleyrkc, I hope that helps. Take care.
Some of you guys have asked what kind of intercom I use. I have a portable intercom made by FlighCom. Even though the intercom is "portable" I have it hard mounted as you can see.
