I too followed jeep sinker on the cummins 12v swap in my deuce.

I have both 12V and 24V systems in my bobbed deuce with a Cummins 6BT engine. I kept all of the factory 24V items in tact, and I only needed 12V for things like the A/C system, Autometer gauges, USB chargers, and fan clutch. A good Vanner equalizer will take care of any 12V needs. More info...

Less than 18 months and under 1,000 miles my axle boots failed.

I've had the same rockwelloffroad.com black silicone axle boots since 2012 on my bobbed deuce after installing the disc brake kit. No issues.

    HydroBoost!

Here's my hydroboost install page: https://www.hanksdeuce.com/hydroboost_install.htm The high pressure line from your power steering pump goes into the hydroboost unit. Then high pressure comes out and goes to the steering rack. Then you have (2) low pressure lines that tee back to the...

    cummins 12 valve project

Now's a good time (if you haven't done it already) to fix the "Killer Dowel Pin" on that 12V. Here's how I fixed mine: https://www.hanksdeuce.com/killer_dowel_pin.htm

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

I have 53" Michelins and can't get above 55 mph because the AT545 doesn't have a lockup converter or overdrive. If your tires are smaller than 53", you will be slower than 55 mph. That's just how the gearing falls out (tire size, ring/pinion, transmission, etc.). I like the automatic in...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I have 3/8" reinforced clear tubing vented to a bracket over my shoulder next to the driver seat for the front/rear axles and transfer case that each terminate at a clear fuel filter. I also have a 3/8" vent on the fuel tank to a bracket on the spare tire rack behind the cab. These mods were...

Hurricane Ida - Deep Water Rescue

I called St. George Fire Department today in Baton Rouge and volunteered for deep water rescue. I told them to call me if they need any help. These are the folks that I worked with back in the flood of 2016. Back then I had a Fire Fighter supervisor in the front with a hand held radio, and a...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Drove my bobbed deuce to lunch. Topped her off with diesel. Called the local Fire Department and volunteered for deep water rescue (if needed) because of Hurricane Ida. I was told the newer trucks can't ford as much water. Passed by a bunch back in the flood of 2016 that were stranded like...

    Inverted MRAP wheels power steering

I don't like adapter plates or spacers. When I bobbed my deuce and put power steering in, I ordered some re-centered HEMTT wheels from Stazworks. No issues with lock to lock, no spacers, and no adapter plates while running 53" Michelin XZLs. Looks like he lists them as "Heavy Truck 20's" on...

    Disc Brake Engineering Thread

I got custom brake hoses made from E.L. Johnston Auto in Georgia. http://www.brake-hose.com Below is the crude sketch I sent them. More info can be found on my bobbed deuce disc brake conversion page here: https://www.hanksdeuce.com/disc_brake_conversion.htm

Black Rock Fab 8" Hanger Relocation Lift Kit

I would reach out to him from his contact page here: https://blackrockfab.com/contact.htm It looks like he hasn't been on here since 2018 per his member profile.

Deuce with Cummins 6BT Info thread

The M35A2 with intercooled 6BT is indeed mine. I ended up having to use a longer military truck hood (dump truck?) because the radiator/intercooler assembly stuck out too far. For more information on fitting the intercooler visit the following, https://www.hanksdeuce.com/intercooler_mods.htm

HanksDeuce: 8" Lift, Bobbed, External Cage, A/C and more Project!

Used the Warn 18k winch on my bobbed deuce for some landscaping duty. Pulled a sago palm and a (?) tree out. I used the spare tire from my daily driver as a fulcrum. Apologize for the vertical video from Soldier B.

    M35A2 power steering options?

No rubbing with the Waterloo PS kit on my A2 that runs HEMTT wheels and 16R20 XZL tires. Tons of information can be found at the website in my signature or my build thread listed.

    Hemitt Adaptor Plates

I bought modified hemtt wheels for my bobbed deuce from http://www.stazworks.com/

Anybody have any aftermarket M35A* LED headlights they particularly like?

I have (2) sets of Truck-Lite LED headlights on my bobbed M35A2. To make sure I don't blind oncoming traffic, I parked behind a metal building one night and aligned them against the wall to favor slightly to the right. No one hits me with the high beams. Plenty of light.

Locker in the rear axle only

I'm not really much help being a bobber, but I do run an Ouverson rear locker. No issues. :)

Battery Tender Setup for a Deuce

I have a quad Battery Tender setup on the wall of my shop. (2) are for my bobbed deuce, (1) for the backup generator, and (1) for my lawn mower. The (2) for the bobbed deuce feed from the wall, under the chassis, over the passenger side step, and behind the closed battery box door. I do use...
