915A1s went through numerous RESETs, IRONs, etc over their long career. It is my belief that the 400s were evaluated individually and either “painted black” or sent to Cummins for overhaul as determined necessary by the depot.

Did you order Eastern Surplus part number SP-2839 for 6.2 engine? If you did and they sent you the wrong part they need to make it right. If you ordered the wrong part, like HM182, it's on you.
The quotes for installed lift gates years ago were 5 digits, more than the city could go for. Hate to think what they would be now with the huge steel tariff increases we are seeing in manufacturing.

Recall what all the brake proportioning valve does. If the front or rear brake circuits become unbalanced, a piston moves which activates a switch (pictured) that causes the “brake” warning light to illuminate.
I thought your front driveshaft was bent as well? I would highly suggest you look into the u-joint puller tool, these caps can be stupid stuck in the yokes. Wasting hours pounding and cussing is not good use of your time out there.
Are you experiencing the no oil pressure issue while cranking or while briefly running? If only cranking, maybe that is not enough speed to build up sufficient pressure. I would check mine but it's down at the moment. Maybe the oil filter is not filled yet? The pump does not look horrible.
The box will have a conduit attached that will feed into a grommet hole in the cab floor. Positive cable goes from battery to starter, negative goes from battery to frame rail underneath cab.
