Took the HMMWV offroad to the top of a 4 wheel drive trail at about 10,200 feet. The trail was rough - big rocks most of the way, the truck needing a lot of suspension. At times I thought the HMMWV would bottom out. But we made it and it was a blast. This photo was at the last turnaround...
When I did the replacement it my HMMWV perfectly and it also checks out as part 19 on Figure 286 of the 24P manual. Can you elaborate more?
btw you can also replace the whole front evaporator unit, it's easier but the evaporator unit is expensive and hard to find.

Stay tuned for some turret action pics from this coming summer, it will be used for its intended purpose shortly.
My neighbor and I will be driving our sister trucks - both M1165A1s - out to Moab for a bit of off roading. It's about a 300 mile trip (each way) for us.
We'll definitely be bringing tools and a few key spares but I wanted to be prepared for one of the trucks going down.
Which makes me...
I was under the impression that new production had ceased in favor of the JLTV and it was only service/parts for AM General. I freely admit I could be wrong on that.
