Same voltage however pumps are different. The main pump is facet 40193 that was replaced and the aux is an airtex e1074. Looks like tge e1074 is temperamental.
My problem is that the aux pump is only getting 23.6v and will not start. I have tested it with 24v and it works. Im gettimg similar voltage at the relay too. The main pump works fine and units runs. Any suggestions?
Shhhh. Its a super special retro edition but it still has the larger radiator, turbo and built in a/c. Its the demo unit they sent the procurement office. 🤣
I usually never have to take them off. Just clean the filter and magnetic lid with carb cleaner, then spray inside the pump till the gunk is out and most important part is to finger up and down the check ball with your pinkie. They are usually just a bit stuck. Make sure you bleed the line after...
The backplane has 2 canon plugs on the back (left side) where all the cables connect to the control box. You can only acces the plugs if you remove the side panel. I mentioned this in case you wanted to clean them as well.
Did you remove the governor before? By looking at the pic, the top left nut is missing. Maybe someone fooled with it before or swapped the governor. Is this unit new to you, have you ever seen it run right?
Do not go over 3vac. You might slip up and ground off the tip. Leave it at 3vac and troubleshoot the next issue. Check the connections to the governor. Contact cleaner is your friend. Make sure you pull the fuse before you spray everything down. Do you have access to the canon plugs behind the...
Disregard the manual. Adjust from 2.3vac to 3vac. 3vac is best. Go slowly using the dead crank cause if you get it too close it will shave of the magnet and ruin the mag pickup. Once you get that done the speed sensor on the govr will light up.
Today I ran the unit at full load for an hour. After that, the issue was still there but it was not as rough as before. I can apply a full 18kw load to the unit with the press of a button with my load bank and it takes it with out a hitch, The funny thing is the when I close the contactor its...
So i checked the mpu, took it off and reinstalled at 30vac. The unit cranks right up. Someone had previously checked the contactor and the transformer wires since they were marked and the transformer wires were spun ugly. I redid them just like the factory and made sure they all had 3 turns and...
