I have run a 2x2 over top of the separated area then run a 1" strap across that to hold it down. worked awesome for about 9months till I swapped it out.
it's purpose is to help keep sideways rainwater out and snow if you get it stacked up on the fender. I bought mine years ago at napa. was about $15-20.
I have a good used 5th I took out of my trans when I went to the monster OD. $50 plus shipping to you.
you also need to check the counter shaft to make sure the matching gear was not damaged too.

napa will not have the spring and cup, we are lucky to get the filter from them. you will have to get the spring and cup from a surplus dealer or just swap to a spin on for a much better filter.

Just remember though on this ebay auction for this one golden kit, there were only 2 of us guys in the world willing to pay that kinda money, everyone else was left behind at what $400?

to be honest, I was the guy who bid the kit up to 2100. I wanted it bad but somebody wanted it more than I did. I honestly thought that after it went over about 1k it was a joke and somebody had run a shill bid against me so I just kept going, figuring that if it was real I wanted whoever won...
the weakest link on the air assist units are the regulators, and they can and should be left off. the second IMO would be the drag link, it's even shorter and has a bend in it. so I'd say the bent part would be most likely to bend even more in a tight situation with big tires.
the turbo kit I have only cost about 2k. it would be 5k if you bought all new parts.
The EGT's on the 250 when I run them turbo'd are lower than stock so in theory it should last longer not shorter.
