Agree. I think that's why mine wouldn't start after sitting 20 years. I recommend soaking with kroil or whatever before startup. But why do they sometimes fall off when the truck is being driven regularly? Debris in fuel? Chunk of filter media or even fibers maybe could wedge the plunger.

UPDATE (finally!) I finally have a lull in the machine shop, so I have one of my guys making the dies to bend the legs of the clips.

I'm good up to 90 in the deuce. After that, forget it. Not worth it. I could go west into the mountains and then north through them to avoid the heat but that will take even longer. I'd have to take Friday and Monday off just to get there and back.

I'm planning to come. Read about it on facebook from Bearret Pemberton. Not sure if I'll bring my deuce as it's about 8 hr drive and it will be triple digit temps for most of the trip.
