Deuce For sale. Is it worth it?

I spy a large diameter wiper knob = A1. Looks like a plugged up stomp starter hole (A1) in front of the brake pedal. Wonder if it has the big turbo... I know of another A1 for sale, member here, can't recall his name. Plane in avatar. Maybe I'll make a twofer trip around the country and start...

Spicer 3053 main shaft reassemble question

I'm glad I could help in some way. Attaching a pic of said wrong bearing. Good thing it came up, I was reminded I need to properly clean sort organize and store my parts. Middle of the night rebuilds are not conducive to organization. Always too much to do...

Spicer 3053 main shaft reassemble question

Found order list list and "wrong" new bearing. Bearings were ordered from Baker Bearing. The one that didn't fit is a Steyr. Box says RNU207.STE Bearing itself says 2nuo7

Spicer 3053 main shaft reassemble question

I went out to my parts and found these two bearings. They both fit. I may have returned the incorrect one.

Spicer 3053 main shaft reassemble question

When I did my trans, I sourced my bearings from the list and one didn't fit...Tom told me there was something about a suffix in the number, but I can't find the conversation. I'm pretty sure it's DD on the breakdown, RNU207. Front of the countershaft. I fought and...

Re: Pyro placement on the Deuce exhaust manifold!

There is a wrong place to put the pyro. Too far to either end of the manifold. I put mine in the back end by#6 and it read way lower than just above the turbo. I expect where OP has it will read slightly less than "true" combination of all cylinders.

Balancing the clutch on a deuce?

The Toole truck has me convinced that all the noises and vibes we consider "normal" for deuces are not something we just have to live with like many seem to think.

Balancing the clutch on a deuce?

I've had two different vehicles that I put clutch discs and pressure plate and over the years and then picked up a vibration afterwards. Recently took jeep flywheel and pressure plate to be balanced and the guy said the pressure plate was out quite a bit. My 70 vibes like crazy and the rhythm...

    Rebuilding the Injection pump

I'm very interested. Most seem to think there's some kind of voodoo in the IP and are afraid to mess with them, so they spend big $ on them. I'd rather DIY. I'll take all you care to post. I have an LDS with an LD pump I'd like to make into an LDS pump.
