Why are the GL Deuces from Texas so beat?

I have had alot of luck with the trucks in San Antonio. They do seem to go through periods where everything looks like scrap. They also go through periods where even scrap turns out to be a good running truck. I was there last week and there were alot of very nice trucks waiting to be picked up...

    Reo from Brazilian Mariners

So did you find out if it has an air switch to engage the front axle? All my trucks have the air transfer case. The front axle only engages when you flip a switch and stays engaged until you turn it off. The transfer case operates separately from the transmission and doesn't care what gear you...

US to transfer HMMWVS to Iraq

I read the new Iraqi constitution a while back. I don't think we are leaving them with a sustainable government. Their constitution (when I read it) said that if you belong to one ethnic group then you had to speak a certain language and live in a certain area and attend a certain kind of...

new to the m35a2 and need help

Hi Caju, Welcome I think you are suposed to start a new thread when you change the topic. I think you are talking about a transfer case problem. They made two diffrent kinds. If you have the old type it could do wierd things. The new transfer cases have a air valve to engage the front axle...

    Singles

If you use the stock M35a2 rims I think you should be able to run dual 11.00s. If you mix any combination of 9.00 and 11.00 you are asking for trouble. If you do I would highly reccomend removing the front driveshaft.

    is 60k to many miles

When I bought my work truck it had 895,000 miles on it. It now has around 1,250,000 miles on it. Ok so its not a multifuel. It still runs as good or better than some of the other drivers new trucks. I guess it was well maintained before I got it. It seems like you checked the basics. I would...

    my service shop is fired.

I would get it out and not take it back. It is usually faster and easier to re-fix it your self than to get stressed out waiting for someone that doesn't know what they are doing to mess something else up. The air / hydraulic brakes have unique issues with the brake light switch that can...

    Replacing reflectors with lamps.

Believe it or not in Texas (and several other states) you have to have reflectors. Also if you install them all your marker lights have to work or you will get stopped. Make sure you do a good job running the wires and be sure to have the required reflectors in the proper colors in the proper...

    Will this filter WMO?

I like the old electric water heater idea. The hot water heaters I have seen leak was at the top around the pipefittings. They also have a valve at the bottom for drainage you could use to go to the filter. If you needed to heat the old oil up to make it drain faster you could plug it in. They...
