They are distorted thread nuts so that is to be expected. Some grease will help prevent galling.

Any time the turn signals are doing crazy things, in my case at least, it has always been a defective turn signal lever control.

If you install LED headlights, the stock switch will be adequate, and you will see much better at night.

Suggest you suck out the droplets with a turkey baster and then do a bleed at the wheel cylinders.

These troop seats are plentiful and practically worthless, that said, shipping long pieces of wood will cost more than what it will cost to have a local mill plane some for you. Same CARC paint on them as the rest of the truck. Or your favorite CARC substitute.
