    Uses for the Arctic Heater?

ya they can be used for other things. you can use it in the bed to heat the bed but you will need to fed some stuff for sure. the bed did have it's own special heater that was much larger but the cab heater would knock the chill off for sure.

    Why 2650rpm max?

dunno, I wouldn't put a lot of stock in there being such a small difference in that number. prob the same as another vehicle I work on having 5 more hp than the previous year when there is no difference in the vehicle at all. they did it for promo reasons only. I think the 5 ton multi has oil...

    Why 2650rpm max?

the main limiting factor I have noticed are the rods. They seem to want to let go on the big end and come out the side with very predictable certainty.

    Hard top gunner cutout

I have the deuce, 5 ton and hmmwv and a Ma deuce M2HB. My only problem is I can't decide which vehicle to shoot from. it's a bad problem to have. :)

    Hard top gunner cutout

ya I have 3 of these. they are meant to go on the ring itself, not the roof of the vehicle.

    Yet another transmission replacement thread!

50wt is what you all should use, but I put a set of the super OD gears in mine and the mfg reccommends 40wt for my box bc it now has 2 roller bearings. tractor supply has all of these oils in stock, sorry for the confusion.

    Member Broke Down, SC

I had a glow plug die in my hmmwv, lost half the tip on it as well. it banged around for about 50miles and then got spit out the exhaust. not what you would want to happen to a nice new motor but if you are stuck and it's your only way of getting moving again then you might could consider it...

3rd Gear High Or 5th Gear Lo

with the transfer in L I would think that you get better pull with that ratio.

    M818 Trailer

I have 2 M270's for both my tractors and you would be wise to find a dock on both ends, they are 4ft high so ramps of any good use are going to be very long and heavy. I'm, selling 1 of my 270's for 4500. it's a good trailer for a good deal.

the tan towbars have all been recalled, only to be used with approval from senior command. they were not strong enough(broke apart and maimed service members) . they have been replaced with stronger heavier black ones.

    Yet another transmission replacement thread!

ny-locks are prone to temp issues, they get hot and get loose.

    Yet another transmission replacement thread!

I don't think so. you have to remove the shaft between the trans and transfer. you can leave the winch shaft in and let it slip out, putting it back in will be harder though.

Anyone have a Mil. radio installed in deuce over transmission hump?

Your best option is to mount it to the back wall of the cab. as you know it's usually mounted to the floor on the pass where yours putting your other seat.

hmmwv eng into a cucv will require an oil pan, oil pump and pickup change, as well as glow plug, and depending on type of hmmwv eng, possibly water pump and backing plate swap. it is pretty easy stuff. if you can swap the eng then you can do this stuff too. My hmmwv has a cucv engine in it...

Installing front leg for M66 Ringmount

it is a pain. there should be an alignment hole in the leg. each leg has one, should get a pin such that if the clamp gets loose the leg won't slide down. it is also adjustable so that you can move the whole assm up and down for different height gunners, so with that regard there is no...

    M939 Lightweight Weapons Station question.

I have one as well. a complete lightweight station for my 932A2. same ring, bearing and all as the hmmwv, different mounting plate and legs, that is the special part.

    Yet another transmission replacement thread!

leave the front driveshaft in place. it doesn't need to come out. on the install of your new trans, I'd remove the drain plug and with the top cover off spray it down with carb cleaner. hose it down and then once it's in the truck, fill with the proper 50wt motor oil before installing the top...
