Aha! It figures that as soon as I give up searching and post a question, I find the answer.

Just put a used alt off a 900 series truck on my deuce. I've searched for keywords and skim read through the Alternator TM 9-2920-225-34 twice, as well as searched the forum I can't find the exact procedure for on-the-truck voltage adjustment. Closest I could find was on the testing...
Clinto, my '62 has a genny on its LDS, Delco reg on the firewall. A2 fenders. Believe it was an A1 originally.
JS, cool truck. I might turn one of my extras into a semi original military looking tanker for watering the yard at the shop.
Yeah...but the "old" pump "worked". The point I'm trying to make is that the old pump isn't much of a pump...look at it. Crudely manufactured, wide open tolerances, not sealed, and it fell apart...I had to screw it back together (in my '70 thread). I suspect if the lift pump doesn't keep up...
Replaced primary filter, repaired leak at filter (reflared broken line) Got secondary fuel filters, belts, hoses, installed Parker pump. Ordered used alternator. Ordered a locking door handle...
Started broken trans removal under watch of some Ospreys.
Well...looks like I made the wrong decision, especially living in a hot desert. Next time, I'll make the right one. I'll see if there's not one or two relatively simple things I can do to try to keep this stock one cooler.
Somewhere here I read that a rebuilder commented on how heavy duty and...
Hello, gents.
As mentioned in the thread for my '70 (that will hopefully soon be my first fully operational deuce), the alternator completely melted down before I got the truck. I looked into rebuilding it with parts from Erik's military surplus, but so much was damaged, parts cost more than a...
The Parkers seem to produce more pressure more other's experience, and definitely in mine.
Yes, I know it has a booster pump...
Floridianson asked earlier in the thread :
So that's my answer: yes - 10psi across the board.
AZK9, you're doing good, but I'd like to keep this thread related to making new clips.
I can get them made pretty affordably it looks like, but is it worth it?
You guys who have the most experience in and around deuces..how often does just the clip and button fall off? On mine, the tapered...
No, I got a Parker. The ones pictured are the old one(s) from my '62 and '70. The one from the '70 makes noise and flow but no pressure. It's kind of a joke of a pump, wide open tolerances made from stamped aluminum plates. The new Parker is a true pump, with a turbine style impeller that seals...
