Finally got it to the dunes, doesn't do too bad. Gauges on the way so I can turn it up. Fixed a coupe flats, repaired turn signal, air governor, etc. First pic is deuce acting as anchor for 500' mobile zip line off the back of my Dodge.

Aha! And there's one up on the filter housing too. Sometimes junk gets stuck under the seat and holds them
open. My 70 doesn't start as good as my 62, I checked the one on the filter, but forgot the one at the HH.
Subscribed. OP, I think I know you from helping you somewhere else. ;-)
In my '62 thread, there's a vid of it running of a coolant sprayer shooting gas into the intake.
That made me realize that one could probably weld a flange on the intake tube and run it on a big carburetor.
The truck sat facing east before I got it. Pass front tire was sun abused and worn unevenly, so I swapped it with one from the north side rear, as well as put the spare on the pass rear to replace a flat.
So...after just doing filters on my '70, primary cup is open end up to bite in to filter seal, I think the secondary and final cones are small end up. Flipped over, they are too tight to get mounted.
I've been thinking about dampening vibrations myself. Been looking more towards installing some cushion mounts for the cab. Got to thinking, though, do the engine mounts get hard enough to make a difference? Or do they have a solid sleeve or insert inside that they might collapse down on and...
Cleaned gauge illumination Windows, etc., installed brighter #356 bulbs. Thanks to Clinto for the tip.
Turned up the droop and main fuel a little for better starting.
New filters, adjusted valves, 70 runs better but not 100%. My LDS in my '62 starts with a bang on one or two rotations with no throttle. The 70 spins a bit and slowly catches unless I floor it. If I don't, it idles slow, like 500 until I bring it up, then it stays about 800. I noticed the shutoff...
This is the second time I've done them on a deuce, took me an hour. Not hard IMO. If you hear any telltale ticking while it's running, it needs it. I have some videos on YouTube of before and after valve adjustment.
