New guy from PA just acquired an M35A1

Yes, but not recommended. The intank pump is the lift pump and makes 5-7 psi to get it to the mechanical booster pump which makes the real pressure. It will run without the electric pump, but not as well, and not at all if you get an air leak in a line. The electric pump is nice for bleeding air...

That would be cool! We are few and far between out here. I am isolated by 3 hours...we have a group going on facebook with a handful of member and are planning a mini rally in the mountains this summer.

New guy from PA just acquired an M35A1

I'm having the same issue with my newly acquired truck. Might also be the shutoff not opening all the way. Stick a fuel pressure gauge in the rearward bleeder hole on top of the filters, it's 1/8" pipe thread. EDIT: Shoulde be about 30-40 psi at idle and 70-80 at full throttle.

    1962 White M35 multifuel

Any luck? I have acquired a non turbo truck since last post, so I will be tinkering and learning on it.

Seat of the pants, 10psi isn't much pressure but it's still flow. I doubt the HH will burn up, unless run super high RPM. It'll probably wear slowly, which it may have already. Anyway, I'll get it fixed. This truck will probably stay together indefinitely. I hate taking things apart and having...

    Paramount water truck

Was wondering how much pressure little aftermarket electric pump put out. Stuck a pressure gauge in the second bleeder port on the filter bracket, 10 psi. High pressure/booster pump is bypassed, just hanging off the side of the IP open. I put my finger over the ports of it with the engine...

I have access to some 12.00-20 NDCC tires, and am looking for pics of them on a deuce. Thanks!

Tmg off road adventure weekend 4/ 24 /15

Sorry I've been lagging on videos, been busy, mostly working on deuces. Here's a little of the trash we picked up, left our campsite and surrounding area cleaner than we found it.

    Paramount water truck

I grew up in and now run a big machine and welding shop where building, repairing or replacing frames, tanks/beds, suspension, etc. on semi trucks, etc. is normal stuff. So it's no big deal, just whether I want to fool around doing more work after normal working hours are done, haha...

    Paramount water truck

You like torchin up deuces, don't ya? ;-) This one is stayin' together at least as an engine test cradle for the time being. If there's one thing I really don't like about deuces, it's dogbones. If I'm gonna pay money to buy new ends and change them all out, I'd just as soon buy the good...

    Paramount water truck

The frame had cracks that my other truck doesn't, likely from bind caused by the bars.

    Paramount water truck

That's one of a couple things that actually looks better than the '62...this one may end up spare parts for that one, the A1.

somebody's not too bright idea I guess. It doesn't get around off-road very good, not as good as the other one. I think it's because those bars bind the suspension. The same two tires in the back opposite each other always spin, and I think maybe it's because of those bars binding things up.

    Paramount water truck

Yeah, I could fix it all up. I have the technology. ;-) Has all the same modifications as my other ex water truck (and more). Way overkill springs in the rear and reinforcements welded on the frame that I don't like. Pretty much everything would have to be removed, corrected or replaced, and...

    Paramount water truck

Fun night with the kids. Looks a lot better now. Pseudo semi truck prerunner thingy. Prerunner because it sits higher in the front...due to the lift blocks which are there to keep the pinion out of the oil pan because the engine is too low. Lots of ewww in the air tank. Buried up under the...

    Paramount water truck

So much facepalm...this one might run and drive, but I think my '62 is in better shape. Busted front axle, all the rubber brake lines old and hard lines flopping everywhere, rusted/busted/modified frame and suspension brackets. The engine is "mounted" about 2" too low. Haven't even looked...

    Brought Home M35A1 Yesterday

Looks like yours has been pretty completely "A2-ized." Early steering wheel and the shifter looks like maybe the early single bend style.

    Brought Home M35A1 Yesterday

I see yours has the old style A1 lights. A1s had the beds u-bolted on, hinged rear fender mud flaps, and some other little things different than A2s. You can see them in the A1 thread in my signature line, towards the end of the thread.

Being the resident A1 nerd, I would love to see pics of the interior, dash plates etc. when you have time. Thanks!
