There have been several requests for an option to be made available with the kits to add an aftermarket gauge sender into the kit. Well it is now available. It can be added to any of the kits and placed in either rear block port as it sits in-line between the rear block plates and the hoses...
So guys just a little update. Our CUCV brothers have now been installing kits for their applications and things are going well on that side. Lots of good feedback coming in. We are making some small changes to our supply chain so there will be a bit of lag in kit availability after current...
Sorry guys, I have been off the grid for a bit.
I am a little worried that our CUCV block off plates that incorporate the sensor as well as the coolant fitting for our kits might be too tight for the available space. Now that I have established that the CUCV we used was a Frankenstein I am...
So it looks like we have some work to do on the CUCV interm kits. The test vehicle we used was a short term loaner and as it turns out it must have been a bit of a Frankenstein truck as well because it had the glow plug switch in the rear coolant plate and not the sensor I am seeing in your...
So I am in the camp that uses these trucks offroad and as such modifies them. I think there is a place for both groups here.
I do like the through 'B' pillar cage set-up which is the way I do it. BUT I dont like the backing plate feet. Sorry but that is NOT a proper rollbar or cage...
OK I have sent out the 90Deg fittings and each person who asked for one should have a PM from me. Anybody else that wants one that did not get a PM from please let me know. Thanks guys!
I had a PM asking if he could order the 90 Deg fitting on his own. For the group yes you can do that but it will not be the same as the one I am providing. The only real difference is the color of the anodizing will not match. So if you want to go that route send me a PM and I can send you...
I think the best for those like you is to have me send out the 90 Deg fitting. As far as the return of the other parts go you can send them back first class mail. Should be $2-$3 at the most. I can refund that upon receipt.
The kits are moving ahead nicely. We are expecting the CNC parts in 2 weeks which is the real hold up. I am deciding whether to anodize the adapter to match the fittings or leave it natural aluminum to match the crossover and the radiator hose flange. Everything else is basically ready except...
Anybody who wants the 90Deg fittings please send back the 'T' and the AN6 90Deg to the same address we shipped from. The 'T's are going to be ready to go out Monday.
So just to head this off at the pass here are the options if you don't have or don't want to add an overflow tank:
1. You guys can get an AN-6 Female Cap locally and simply cap the extra end of the 'T' and not use the AN-6 push lock 90Deg fitting in the kit.
2. I can send you a 90 Deg fitting...
OK guys if you are running a HMMWV crossover but not running an overflow tank like the HMMWV does then we will have to block off that port or change the fitting to a simple 90Deg vs the 'T'. If you are running an overflow tank then this line goes to the tank.
I would suggest considering...
I live up at high altitude and have cold winters. I have electric heaters on the oil pan and tranny pan, then I have a supplemental KATZ coolant heater tank/pump that circulates coolant inside the block and heads. I also have a fuel filter heater. You will never believe how easy these start...
