There was a duece for sale in Chalmette before Katrina. I don't know if it's still around, you could look for it. It was a nice looking truck. Also, If you drive down Airline Hwy in Metairie, take a drive down Modern Farms, there was a guy right off airline on the right side of Modern...
RDM- I'd appreciate the cab. I'll have to see when i'll be back in the south again. I plan on getting new tanks for the air system. When i let the truck run, I keep the tanks open for safety.
Jon- I do plan to have the compressor tank inspected before putting any pressure on it. Since there...

When I was in the Guard, one of the guys worked at a hydralic shop. He took some of the cylinders off the Hemmts to rebuild. one cylinder would extend but not retract. after disassembly, he had frogotten a red rag inside the cylinder. He is still ragged about his rebuilds LOL Moral is: make sure...
It has a specially designed drag link that directs the air pressure. I think I still have the technical drawings around here somwhere. It's the same steering setup on the M35A3's
Re: RE: Looking for a set of windshields/frames (M35)
Yes, takes lots of patience and some rotted out rubber seals.. If you're not going to reuse the frame, cut it at the corners and work each side off.. slooowly
Some of these trucks are from my old NG Unit 1/141 FA. They were in New Orleans when Katrina hit and they were completely submerged. Also trucks with the bumper numbers 61 TC and 1088 Eng were also in the new orleans area. 61TC's motorpoll was across the street from 1/141 FA's motorpool. 1088...
