What type of 6.5 is this?

Already had a few humvees....just bought another that Govplanet said "Will not start....missing parts on engine." It's one of only a few M1097's which have been sold. It's a 1994 with only 2000+ miles. Anyway, got it home, put in new batteries...started right up. Just had to buy a new serpentine...

M1097E HMMWV Humvee Sea Bee - Tire Carrier

Had a water can/gas can holder that was smashed, so I cut it off. Pretty sure there was no license plate on this vehicle. Not sure what the bracket is for. I think your right....a two pin U bracket that attached both. I'll have to figure something out.

Just got this Sea Bee 1097E HMMWV and I was missing a piece to the tire carrier that connects both gates. Anyone have an idea who the maker/vender is?

Hmmwv 6.5l purchased, turns out to be a 6.2l

I guess the reason I have had such great luck with 6.5's is that they are usually newer motors. I have a 1989 M1038 that had the 6.5 put in on 2003, and have owned 3 other M998's with 6.5's that I have sold. Then of course all the blogs and diesel truck sites overwelmingly choose the 6.5 over...

Hmmwv 6.5l purchased, turns out to be a 6.2l

Just got an email from a buddy in Houston who got his 6.5l HMMWV home to find out it was a 6.2l. Some people don't know how to tell the difference. When I checked the description...it says 6.5l. But upon inspection it was definitely a 6.2 with the bolt showing on the left side of the oil pump. I...

    HMMWV Lug Nuts

Wanted to replace a bunch of rusty, warn lug nuts. Seems that the only lug nuts I could find 9/16" R18 thread don't fit as tight going on as what I took off. The new ones glide right on, and when I put the old ones back on, I have to use the inpact driver. Appreciate any help.
