FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

I am on old Porsche/BMW guy and we have tons of banjos on all manners for fuel and air systems. Most seem to all be the same sizes.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I have seen these get 'rebuilt' but not address the stress cracks in the main bearing webs and they do this very quickly.

    Onboard air

How about two 12v pumps in parallel to get 12v each? That will be likely the same price as a 24v pump and much more air. I would add a tank.

    Random items found in HMMWV

Lots of spent glow sticks in green and orange. A nice ram mount setup for a computer by the looks of it. Lots as antenna parts but mostly wire. Lots of wrappers from candy bars and fast food. Of course 50lbs of dirt.

    Rear Right Tunnel Insulation Panel

Never made them from what I can tell. I made my own from sets of floor panels.

    Waters intrusion into passenger insulation?

Make sure it is not coolant. That is a common location for coolant to collect with a bad heater core.

What was the cost of all this?

How concerned are you all about completely draining the hydraulics during a fluid change?

Guys I need fittings for my new hydraulic tool to go to the hose real. I am having a hard time locating the EATON FD4 to match the hose real. What have you guys found used?

So I had an oopsie. I needed to move some pallets so I installed pallet forks to the loader and then fired up my SEE. I was warming up the truck and working the loader up and down to warm it up but it was really 'notchy' and noisy and slow. So I thought to check the fluid level and as I...

    M1123 Fill Up

Filler pipe hose to tank is common culprit. I have had 75% of them being bad when I get a new truck.

So looks like I need my Ether setup to work. I ordered the can from Napa but i need help with how it supposed to work. To add complication the knob broke so all I have is the shaft sticking out. So what should I check before i use it?

    Thermostat for 6.2

They are normal but be careful that they don't sell you an off brand that cross references over. The proper ones are metal and rubber. NAPA is a good source.

    Turnover trouble

If you need glow plugs I have the newest versions found in the GEM motors new in boxes for $9@ if you want them.

    Auxilary heater?

I run dual A/C and dual heaters in my truck. Both heaters are heater cores. I stay very hot in my four man soft top in the Utah mountains. I also have fuel, coolant, oil and tranny pre-heaters. The fuel heat is also able to run while driving.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I guess grunts arw cheaper than nutserts. I will be rectifying that in lots of places. Shifter is one. Not going to do it before I make the final 5spd vs 6spd decision.

My hood was pretty banged up and bent. After fixing it and such I did not like the loose fit either so I installed adhesive foam gasket material around the entire hood sealing area. It takes up the gaps and requires a bit of tension now to fix the hood. It is still the same attaching method...

I have never seen that floot bracket before. Where did you find that?

    4 man divider

I thought the rear curtain went on the inside of the cargo divider? I am trying to seal mine from cold air and wondering how best to do it?

    HMMWV Rock Sliders/ Rocker protection

I was referring to the aftermarket kits out there and yes the ones I am making are very similar to the OEM H1 units pictured. They are a little taller on the sides and a lot taller in the wheel well. I am not bolting them to the rockers at all, just in the wheel wells and the frame. Also not...
