please show me a picture of the winch. I bought 6 and they were missing the control pack and handheald remote. About to place an order from The U.K. for the parts I need. (1/4 of the price of Warn product and much better quality). Just wonder if you are in the same boat.
I'm using a satin enamel. But, it is a water based enamel. The flat, I don't know if it's latex.
I used an acrylic paint on my aluminum boat. Was pricey at $100/gallon, but good stuff.
Id just ask a paint expert what they recommend. That's their job, so, that's going to be your best bet.
i guess in that case, see if an auto paint company can mix some paint for you. Or buy a high quality rattle-can in a color close to your desired color. (Usually, the more expensive, the better it is ... or, the cheaper it is, the worse it is ... I don't know what country you are from and what is...
I am fairly certain that is what the Red Dot Hummer system does. While I do not remember the numbers, it comes on at exactly 400, for example and off at 250, again, for example. Every time. No difference in any other variables. Rpm, outside temp, etc.
Now i am curious. I am going to run a...
I'm designing my radio mounting board now, it's an overhead console that has all my switches for lights etc. can we get outside measurements of the box please? I need to budget space for it.
Really looking forward to receiving it.
Thanks again for making these.
True, and a good point, but, it is done every day with other trucks. Isn't this trucks suspension "overbuilt" to a certain extent? There was little thought for comfort in designing the final product, it needed to be tough. It is. A commercial driver has a choice if he is buying his own rig, or...
Found a thread. Got a part number. Ordered a bag. $66 with shipping. Will see how it all works out.
Im pretty good with metal working.
I build unique, "specific use" trailers for fun. Last one was a Wild Hog hauling trailer with built in ramp, light enough to be pulled by an ATV. (We have...
i bought 4 Buffalo MRAP wheels and tires on GL. Jeez, even they weigh more than any other wheel I have tried to move. The tire guys were cursing me. I still have to get the runflats out.
Remember, the first step is admitting you have a problem.
FWIW, I have never made it past that step, so I don't know what to do after that step.
Step, steps, ladder. The universe is telling me to buy these steps to help me with my problem! Also the four nasty road rash spots on the left leg...
Yep, that's why I recommended removing some springs and then adding a bag. You have to soften it before your bags do a thing. This way, you control how firm the front suspension is.
I thought about removing a spring or three and cutting out the centers with a torch, or cutting out circles...
That looks cool! We have the ring and a brand new hard top. Just need the install time and energy, which is hard to muster since it's his truck and not mine. But the thought of driving around shooting the 50 cal is motivation enough. We each have a ranch and both of us have large gun ranges...
I have to do this project as well on a buddy's truck. He is useless with tools. I have to check his oil for him ... yeah. Buy, he will buy a .50 cal to mount on it, so the work is worth it!
My compressor isn't on, unless the AC is on. As for being on all the time AC is running, That's Red Dot's design, not mine. (There is a chance I'm wrong here.) I might want to run a meter on it and see if I'm wrong.
Usually, you should hear it cycle on/off at idle, but I don't hear it go on...
I love my trucks. My arse ... not so much. (I mean, I love it, but it doesn't like my trucks ride)
For me, mostly, 80% of the time, these trucks are a novelty, not a 5-10 ton workhorse.
The suspension is plenty stiff on them. Has anyone taken a couple springs out and put in airbags? I'd be...
Wes,
two things for you.
I dont know your setup. So I'll use mine as an example. The Red Dot units made for hummers keep the compressor on all the time. Yeah, sounded odd to me too, but after a year, it's ice cold. Still works.
The pressure ports on the evap/dryer dictate at what pressure...
natural wood color looks great. Seal it with some kind of marine grade varnish, and leave it as is. Looks sharp. Very nice job. Would hate to cover up that wood.
