Its the M818 5 SPD OD a direct bolt on for my M52A2 those the clutch have the same spline also does anyone know the gear ratios between both trany one is a direct 5 SPD the other OD 5 SPD thanks

Today i hook up my ptyrometer and when out for a ride all fat ground only tractor , around city it get up to 600 degrees 5-6lbs of boost and on HWY 53-55 mph it would hit 900* and 1000* on a on ramp like a small hill, good now i got all the data i need for future change :-D

Hate to desagree with you but , if you run your truck let said in a enviroment where ambient temperature is 60 * and run the truck in a ambient temperature of 95* like here in florida , you will se a difrents on performance just by the air being cooler , it allows more air to be pack in the...

Does it still have the fuel air heater in the discharge tube of the turbo for cold weather make sure the switch is off and is not leaking that would make it smoke and knock because is delivering fuel before injection time kind like pinging on a gas engine..

Ok so no particles on the be oil dipstick is good, as cheap as those filters are may be good to take one out and look at it good maybe run a magnet and see what you get, my smokes pretty good under acelaration but it depends how hard i'm on the throttle, do you have any pictures you can post...

If you are not familiar with DIESEL engines may be dificult to to tell noices, there could be many things making noices , have you check the oil for any metal shavings or maybe take a oil filter out and and look for any metal particles, also if it has a bad injector coild make it knock but...

I never look at the block to details to see if it has the provision to relocate the dipstick in front or behing the turbo on both models LDS and LTD will look this weekend at difrent engines and compare, as far as the halftrack it is a OT810 , being converter by to a SDK251D even if there...

Looking at the engine tag is probably the best way, also a quick loook at the oil deepstick also helps , so far LDS i have seen have it in the back of the block where LTD have it in front of the turbo.
